Read the statement from Forte Oil, signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Akinleye Olagbende, after the cut...
“Forte Oil wishes to inform the public and its stakeholders that it is aware of the article published in The PUNCH on August 22 titled ‘DPR seals NNPC, Forte Oil, 12 other petrol stations’.
“We wish to address the issue of the closure of these stations and state the accurate picture to the buying public and our stakeholders. The stations mentioned in the above-titled article are franchised stations and are not owned by Forte Oil Plc.” The statement added,
“We at Forte Oil have a robust compliance system ensuring that all stations branded under our name comply with all the regulations applicable to the downstream petroleum sector. This is codified in all our franchise agreements and non-compliance with these terms are penalised with instant termination of the said agreement.” According to the company, among the terms of contract are pump integrity and ensuring that the price displayed at the station is compliant with the approved regulated price.

So long as they are bearing ur name, means der r working in ur interest,so wat r ur interest here if I may ask? Wat r the measures u put in place to check d excess of pipo dat ur franchise r been sold to n who in ur "organisation" is responsible for seeing dat ur franchisee adherd to the rules n regulations of every single sold franchised outlets out der??

Who does Forte Oil think they are addressing? "They are franchised.....not owned by Forte Oil"...they trade with and bear your name and it is also your responsibility to ensure that you maintain your brand name if it means anything to you. Apparently, your alleged "robust compliance system" wasn't on top of their game or they'd have avoided all of this before it got to this DPR mess...but saying that they are not Forte Oil......common pls....try and find some other intelligent ways to exonerate yourself because you're struggling badly with this disclaimer.
Pls has dis DPR seal Mobil filling station @ Maryland bus stop bcos they are most fraudulent oil station I ever known, though I hardly buy from them dis day, since I bought 2k Fuel just to drop someone off @ airport without traffic and I couldn't come back to Maryland until I bought another from local airport roundabout
A very welcome development. If only others like NNPC will follow suit.
Ok
Abi ooooo
