"This initiative is designed to complement efforts being made by Lagos State Government in curbing the spread of Ebola. It's also borne out of the need to enlighten the public about the disease and the need to adopt preventive measures. His words: "Outdoor as a major part of the marketing communications mix will play its part in sensitizing the public on the Ebola scourge. This battle is a collective responsibility and would be won through novel ideas such as this. Consequently, we lend our full support to LASAA and our members partnering with them on this noble cause."

Jimi Awosika, Managing Director of Insight Communications said his firm is proud to identify with LASAA and its partners. "The advertising industry is mindful off its role in society at times like this and is willing to undertake its corporate social responsibility. The latest Ebola outbreak is the largest in history since it was detected in the Democratic Republic of Congo (then Zaire) and Sudan in 1976. It has also affected Nigeria resulting in five deaths (at the time of filing this report).

Good Idea.....Good thinking from the LASAA BOSS

Ok. Good for the advertising agencies that agreed that their boards be used. But will that make LASAA reduce their bills on billboards account? The bills we are paying to LASAA is outrageous hence the need to curb it. OAAN is just a figure head , it can't stand for its members, all the old executives should go and sit down and allow young minds to be in power so that they will know how to tackle the so called LASAA. Most of our billboards are vacant in Lagos yet all LASAA can think of is to bring us a bill of 25m naira how the hell did they expect us to pay it when the boards are not yet occupied. #smhforLASAA
