This is a monumental loss in the Nollywood, in particular, and the nation, in general.
I recall with all sense of satisfaction, that in the 1980's, our veteran and amiable actor (a father of Nollywood), exhibited sound, unrivalled, excellent theatrical prowess with so much compulsion and charisma. He was our delight. Daddy was talented and will continue to be a legend even in death. I also recall with nostalgia, he visited my office way back in 2006 on Marina, I saw a colossus who bestrode all dimensions of Nollywood, and always beaming with smiles.
Well, death, it is said is an inevitable end!
May his soul rest in perfect peace. Adieu, Chief Justus Esiri, Father of Nollywood.

The Nig. Film Industry Need To Turn To God And Pray. These records of deaths has become too much to bear. Fasting And Prayer sessions should be held and very importanly a change in unpleasant lifestyle. With prayers and true repentance, God will have Mercy and protect the Industry.

'Never'????? as a health professional working in Nigeria, I can boldly state that it s definitely not NEVER!.. of course, if someone passes on within 24hrs after arriving at a hospital or is BID (brought in dead) an autopsy will definitely be performed ( this is called the coroner's case and the decision is not a choice for the family..it is the law...
I know for a fact that this is the case and is implemented in publicly funded hospitals..the cases different for private hospitals.....and also where someone died after being admitted for more than 24hrs (in this case, it is entirely the prerogative of the family to have an autopsy. the doctrs can only appeal.and considering the level of literacy, the state of mind of family members and the other social concerns, this is not always successful...
hopefully..things will continue to get beta..RIP JUSTUS ESIRI..u were an awesome man...condolences Dr Sid
