Bank shuts down HiTV Premises

At about 12 noon yesterday afternoon, Monday Nov 21, people from GT Bank, their lawyers and some police officers stormed the Lagos premises of Toyin Subair's satelite TV, HiTV, and locked the place up without giving much explanation to staff, who were given just a few minutes to vacate the office building.

Lol.good for him nd the likes of his dish supplier friend. Them no pay salary to staff yet dem go use money do birthday party finish for jand. Mchew!!!

All these young guys ehn, by the time they start making little millons they start misbehaving (that's when they remember they need to throw a birthday bash for their gfs, organize beach parties and also buy posh cars with customized plate numbers so people will know they have arrived meanwhile na bank money be the bulk of the money)nd nothing matters to them than to spend the little they've made. They don't spend wisely at all. Awon ode!

As soon as a Yoruba man hits gold, he will go after all the women he couldn't date initially; until he is broke like that newspaper publisher. I no blame dem o. You can only live once.

Foolish Bank, How can you give Billions based on the probability of HITV winning EPL rights?? doesn't make sense in the first place.DSTVs viewership remained stable even when they lost EPL rights because of superior content.Foolish Bank + Foolish company = Bad debt

its funny how everyone is always beefing a company that has troubles with banks over loan.

it seem a lot of people have issues with individuals who spent their time to build a company.

see, any company can have isssues with the bank and have their company seal off because negotiations went down.

stop making it look like "Toyin Subair" spent bank money for his personal gain.

He is rich because he built a business. IF you have problem with it, then go and start your own business too.

No sane company (not even the one you all lot work for) run their company with personal finance!

so give him a break!

He'll be back. Haters!

You surely are a mad deluded fool. And if u r one of his sugar honies, omo better shift base. No recovering from this one. Jimi Agbaje is a BAWSE. No more faking 'big man' with bank money. Y'all r gonna pay. Nuff said.

Meant Segun Agbaje not Jimi.

It seems GTB is fond of not doing proper checks and analysis before giving loans.
Last time it was Wale Babalakin, now Toyin. Why did Toyin even need loans?I thought the likes of Victor Odili were behind HITV?
at least the guy enjoy the money small.I doubt the parties he threw and the babes he yanshed were the reason the business blew up.I just think he did not have a sustainable business model for the pay tv thing. He should take a look at Top tv in SA and go back to the drawing board. He needs to find a backer who is willing to stay for the long term and stay away from bank loans.it must be possible.

Good for GT Bank. I hope what he owes them runs into billions of naira and I hope they never recover it. They were the reasons why HiTv did not succeed in getting the EPL rights by dilly dallying at backing it. In Nigeria, if you do not have football (EPL & Champions League) on your bouquet, it will be difficult for you to survive. I would have loved a local company to thrive in this business and not the foreign DSTV which exploits Nigerians by charging us the highest in Africa, including South Africa.

I wish this had happened to my former boss.If you know what media house founders do to their staff and how they mismanage operational funds, you'd all be screaming "bloody murder!". Thank God I am out of that Matrix. It's a such a huge relief!
Only God knows what this one did.

Awwww. no more Koko Mansion.... LOL...

Toyin spent like a drunken sailor, lets admit... £2,000 on a pair of trainers.....on a good day... Hm...

He will be back sha... I beleive...

Why are some ppl fond of jumping up whenever they see a business heading to the rock. Kudos to HiTV for being the only indigenous company to challenge DSTV's monopoly. At least, they made pay TV affordable to an ordinary Nigerian. It should be noted that every business has a trial phase & I'm confident HiTV will surely whether the storm. Relax.... Hitv is coming back stronger.

Everyone knows Toyin is not a saint and going around saying the notorious Publisher of a certain newspaper is your God and idol speaks volumes about his mindset and the path he chose. Nasty people last the longest in Nigerian business, so yes Toyin and his arrogance, wild irresponsible spending and flashy behaviour will be back. He comes from nothing so he has a lot to prove.
