Save Nigeria Rally Pictures

The Save Nigeria Group (SNG) rally held yesterday Tuesday 12th in Abuja. The rally was led by Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka. The aim was to force the National Assembly to resolve the constitutional problem created by the disappearance of Nigeria's sickly president Umaru Yar'adua 49 days ago ostensibly for medical reasons.

Check out some pictures from the rally...

In the words of U2, "Change of heart, comes slow"...I'll add that it comes surely!

You know it's about high time Nigerians stand up for what they believe in and stop being afraid.

It's really appauling that people who are of Nigerian decedants but born in foreign countries feel this of no concern to them but the truth to the matter is that it affects all. Be you Foreign born or not we all have families in Nigerian.

I am really proud this happened.

Nigeria we have a huge problem. We talk about our leaders are incompetent, we complain about situation, we are always complaining complaining complaing f*)k complaining. Even the so call praying that we say we can do pass anybody in this world no they work for Nigeria. That is because if we search into our souls we are not clean. Why would you say you want Yaradua dead, what sought of prayers is that? That is why Nigeria is always going to regress because of our wicked and retarded ways.
Nigerians come overseas and they behave live human beings, but once they get off the aircraft in naija they turn to arrant animals, with this we want Nigeria to progress.
You know what beats me when Nigerians come to the America they use their stupid mouth to say “God bless America”, in United Kingdom they say “God save the queen”. When it comes to their motherland Nigeria you hear words like “We want Yaradua dead” or “Nigeria is a failed state or caused nation”. IT real pains me when we put down our motherland in front of all this Caucasian, would anyone blame them for not respecting us when we put ourselves in that predicament.
African American or Akatas anywhere just got their freedom of equality in the 1960s and are still not better than Nigerians in anything Education, politics or Ambition. That is a food for thought.
And for anyone who wants Yaradua dead may God divert that back to them, and to anyone who uses there foul mouth to put down Nigeria should go jump of a F cliff.

It's good to see Nigerians stand up for justice, and truth. I don't want Yar'adua dead, but it's about time for him to resign. Let the vice president be sworn in while Yar'dua can continue to recover. In the first place, he was not even fit for the job that was handed to him. Wake up, people.

Wole Soyinka is aging well, and with all that white hair, he's just sexy.

I agree with Dimeji. If the Man is missing or lost ,swear in his vice president for Gods sake.
