Naija News + Star Mega Jamz in pix

This will be my last post before xmas, so let's have fun with it...

Stella Damasus Aboderin floats production company - Encomium magazine

Multi-talented entertainer, Stella Damasus Aboderin, has berthed with a production company. The first from the stable is the Stella Damasus show, a mixed grill of exciting and thought provoking television programmes with titles like Sistaz, a sitcom talk show, Thru my eyes, Gig Life, Real people and others.

According to Stella who is an ambassador of the S.O.S Children Village and a member of the world food programme "We're discussing with some local, international and cable TV networks and their responses are very encouraging, so we are sure to debut early next year."
Great! Congrats babe! I love being inspired! Be inspired!

MI sells 100, 000 copies in less than two weeks - Seun Apara (Encomium)

Fast rising rap artiste, MI, has finally released his debut album entitled 'Talk About It'. The album was released by T.Joe on thursday Dec 11th. He released a few copies which he intended using to test the market. The first batch of 100, 000 copies entered the market at 4:47pm and before the close of business in Alaba International market the same day, the album sold out.
Great news. Can't wait to get my hands on that album. Y'all should also check it out.

PRESS RELEASE FOR MEM'O

Not sure if you can define or refer to her as a new artiste. She decided to focus on discovering and developing talent out of a passion for the industry and what it portends. This led to the birth of one of the pioneer Creative Arts Management Company in Nigeria, ONE Integrated Management Co, she won the first ever British Council, International Young Music Entrepreneur (Nigeria) Award in 2006, was nominated as Young Entreprenur of the year at the 2007 Future Awards and has been a major contributor to the development of the Nigerian entertainment Industry. All this is asides the fact that she is a part of the history making, industry defining, Nigerian International group KUSH.
Most people know her as Emem Ema but as an artiste, she'd rather be known as Mem'O! When the world wondered when would she drop her own solo album she never gave into the pressure. Apparently, one phone call from her group member and producer extraordinaire, Dapo Torimiro sealed the deal. For thise who do not know, Dapo is a member of KUSH and has recently been responsible for hits like John Legend's "Quickly", Brandy's "Torn Down", David Archuleta's "Running" and co wrote Obama's Campaign song, "Change". He produces and features in her hit single GREENLIGHT which is tearing up the Nigerian airwaves in just less than a week of release. Greenlight is a product of what happens when creative chemistry collides...enjoy the fresh sound from the artiste known as, Mem'O.

From music to fashion, check out pix from the recently held Lapooza Lingerie Fashion show in Lagos.

In most Nigerian lingerie fashion shows, the models always insist on having their faces covered, which is understandable. In all my years of modeling, I did only one Lingerie fashion show and no I didn't cover my face and yes it was shown live on TV, with millions of people checking out our bare bum...lol. Those were the days.

Speaking of Lingerie fashion shows, check out pix from the 2008 Victoria Secrets Fashion show...
This show took place over a month ago but mehn I have to have it on my blog. It's when I see things like this that I miss modeling so much. Hopefully one day I'll go on the runway again, one final time... ;)

Heidi Klum, Selita Ebanks, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosia, Miranda Kerr and Marisa Miller were amidst the model who wowed at the 2008 Victoria's Secret Annual Fashion Show themed - Return to Glamour - which held on Saturday, November 15

Actress and mother of four, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, still looking incredibly sexy. I love yoruba men...lol Marry one and you can do almost whatever you want and wear almost anything you want. With an Igbo husband...maybe not...who agrees with me?

And now to my favourite photo of the day...

US-President-elect, Barack Obama showed off his impressively muscled tummy and a toned
pair of pecs while on holiday in Hawaii recently.

Linda, u talk true oh. Igbo men in dat area need to chill oh and in d area of generosity, like to give cash. I think yoruba guys need to learn one or two things from the igbo guys...lol

Anonymous said...

i dont agree with you because yoruba men would rather cause you out if you wear whatever you feel like wearing and be wandering about. i think igbo men are better and more decent

Stella is one actress, if she comes out with an album, I will make sure I buy it. She has a beautiful voice, acts well, and a fashionista, not everyone can do it like her. Other nollywood stars who try to be a singer, learn from her, Omosexy, Genevieve, etc. Heidi Klum is gorgeous, after popping out three kids. It looks like there is always some concert going on in naija. Entertainment is what is in now. The mother with 18 kids, how the heck did she do it? I don't know if I can agree, bcos naija men are all the same. What I hear a lot is that Yoruba guys need to chill in the area of generosity, and Ibo guys love money. I've seen these stereotypes in all groups. But, Omosexy's hubby is just a good naija man. She married young, and I'm happy to see the marriage last this long, and i hope it will be forever. Linda, when r u getting married? I always come on ur blog, waiting for you to announce it. Hmmmm, still waiting.

Omosexy's husband isnt exactly yoruba........

yoruba men are not that liberal with their wives....mistresses maybe.....wives.....nooooooo

isnt he edo-ish????

hmm. you know omotola's husband is a pilot. i believe he give her the leverage cos he isnt totally faithful. no normal married man whether yoruba or ibo will want his wife showing boobs n thighs in public.i also thing she tries to feel like the thousands of women he meets worldwide.

Omotola's husband is from Edo,He is a pilot and that does not make him unfaithful,he is just a man that is sure of his wife and knows that she is coming home to him

I can't place igbo or yoruba men in categories. It depends I guess but I always say that Oluchi would never have found a Nigerian husband. Italian Luca was just perfect.

Hmm the fashion show? Fidelity bank sponsored it I dunno if thats a sex-selling strategy because thats unclassy. Banks quit using sexy bankers and are now using fashion shows with bare bums? Tacky!

Sorry my lingeried body is for me- faceless or not so I won't make anyone do what I can't do like model em in front of white-collar professionals and co. Nah!
