Special Court martial demotes major general to Brigadier General

A Special Court Martial of the Nigerian Army has demoted the Director, 68 Reference Hospital, Yaba, in Lagos State, Major General Patrick Falola, to the rank of Brigadier General. Falola was demoted after he was found guilty of unlawfully admitting students for clinical training without due clearance from the army headquarters. Major General Falola is said to have admitted international students from Espan Formation University, Cotonou in Benin Republic between July and September 2016.

It's such an unfortunate situation that such a good man can find himself in this mess also to show you how useless and ignorant the Nigerian army is.if you have worked in this so called hospital during his time, you will understand the reforms this gentle officer brought to the decaying structure left by the Nigerian army in the past but I know God will reward him.

He's still a general anyway. Why not just brigadier.

Is this a military offence that warrants such harsh punishment as denoting a general. They are using a sledge hammer to kill a fly. Honestly a warning should hv been an adequate punishment

Thank God someone who knows the truth still exist. He is a good man and a reformer.May God continue to bless him.

True, he broke no law but our country does not like good and honest people so they would always look for ways to suppress good ..

Definitely he never deserves this upon the reforms he brought to bear in 68 NA Reference Hospital Yaba, Lagos and other places he had served, you will not send all those your bad comments on this gentle officer's situation but pity him, only if you know...It's such an unfortunate situation that such a good man can find himself in this mess. Obviously someone high up has an issue with him.May God be with you now and always. This kind of punishment should have been meted to those general that had one in way or the other endanger the lives of so may soldier there in the North East.
