LIB reader dies from cancer, her husband writes heartfelt letter (pics)

Just received this heartbreaking email from a man Alozie Okebugwu who lost his wife, a LIB reader, to cancer about a week ago. He wanted to share her life and photos with us. Read below..
Dear Linda, my wife Chinwe was a faithful LIB reader and really liked your demeanor and accomplishments. Unfortunately I lost her after a courageous battle to cancer at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto in the early hours of Saturday, May 9th 2015. She passed away holding my hands peacefully. I and our 3 lovely kids mourn my soul-mate and their mom. Please may I share this story through your widely read blog with the rest of the world? She had hoped to meet you someday and I know through this she accomplishes that.
May her soul rest in peace, Amen. What he wrote and many photos of late Chinwe after the cut...

My Dear Chinwe Passes On"
As hot knife is to butter, so was the shock of you transition to my heart. It hurts where very few understand. I called you ‘babsie’.I knew you as an angel and our kids had you as a lovely mom. They look up to you. I am eternally grateful to my cousin Ogechi, who introduced us and nudged you along towards me.

We had strong belief that a miracle was on the way. We encouraged each other likewise continually, but alas…….then that fateful day we stayed alone. We held hands tightly, encouraged each other and believed you were going to beat this. We talked. I forgave you. You forgave me. We prayed, praised and thanked God for everything. You cried. We continued holding hands then you went to sleep until you breathe your last that fateful morning at 5:44am.

I remember the first love song I sang to you. You screamed, cried and hugged me.You taught me to follow a woman’s intuitive instincts to man’s understanding and now you are no more, who leads me on? We had our fights and quarrels but our love for one another always came through and greatly excels amongst others.

Chinwe you epitomized kindness, gentleness, love ebbed out of you easily yet you were strong and fought heartily in whatever you believed in.You were a great wife, a nourisher of my heart and body and a wonderful lady to love. You loved me deeply and showed me how to love you. Literally you were a million in one.

You were fun to be around with. I ‘enjoyed’ looking for your trouble. My partner and companion. You knew my deepest thoughts and secrets. You loved God, life and carried this family head-high. Chinwe you taught us as a good wife and mother as though you had lived in this world before. I guess an apple doesn’t fall far from its tree. Your mother did well on you.

We will forever cherish our every moments and your thoughts will always be on our hearts. I know now I have to be there for our kids and will endeavor to teach them your legacies and ideas. I can only depend on God now for strength and grace to forge ahead. Your memories will linger on always.
‘Bubu’ has a good understanding of this, Mona knows in her heart but can’t verbalize it well and ‘Tommy-tommy’ cries about it. You left with a part of me and now I must figure out how to relate to your part in me.

We miss your smiles, warmth, love, devotion and fun you bring to this family.
I will love you always.
Goodnight babes

So sad. Young people dying like this! May God comfort the family she left behind. Though I don't know what led to this cancer I will advise women to NOT take all the different pills, injections and what have you that the pharmaceutical industry pushes out all in the name of birth control. Refuse to be the huinea pig for the multi billion dollar pharmaceutical industry!! The high rate of cancer in women of child bearing age is just alarming and I do not trust one but a ll the stuff women are asked to take in the name of birth control. Just look at this lively lovely woman dying in her prime. Would it not have been better to be alive to see the children grow even if it meant having more? Natural birth control ( cycle tracking) or tubal ligation ( for those who are done with having kids) are the only safe birth control options available. Do not let anyone deceive you that any pill or injection or implantation is safe. They are not!!!! May God grant this beautiful woman rest and her husband and kids the fortitude to bear the loss.

To the husband, only God can comfort u. I lost one of my closest friends to Cancer on the 1st of March 2015. I saw her battle through it. We prayed and hoped for a miracle till the very last moment. So I can relate with your pain. Even when everyone told us all Hope was lost, we believed she would pull through. Because Linda was kind and beautiful, just like your wife was.

I searched for answers and asked God, why? Why did u have to take my close friend?

I found the answer at her memorial service. The minister told us that God loves her more than we love her.

That it would be a shame if God spares her and she ends up in the world and doesn't make Heaven. So God took her at the time when He knew that she had placed all her hope and Trust in The Most High.

At the time when He knew that she had surrendered ALL unto him.

I want to assure you that your wife is in a better place, just like my friend.

She is at peace.
At a place where there is no sickness, no pain, no ill feelings, no stress.

Her spirit will always be with you and the kids.
May God give u the strength and Grace to carry on.

She will always be with u.
God bless u because I know caring for a cancer patient is one of the most difficult things to do.

It takes a real man, a most loving , sincere and loyal man to care for his sick wife diagnosed with cancer.

She's smiling down on you from heaven. God took her because He wants her to be with him and there couldn't have been a more appropriate time than now.

It is well with you and the entire family.

Please the way people reason ehh, the fact is that a lot of people come to Linda's blog, so I guess the thing is, out of every seven Nigerian that dies, one is a LIBer. If not how is Linda responsible for the cancer that killed her or other sickness that killed somebody else.
Well Linda that's what you get for being number one, when almost every Nigerian home and abroad comes here to unwind.
LIB does not kill any body, but it's the masses blog that's why. RIP to the dead and please her husband take heart.
