Eminent men & women were in tears at GEJ's thanksgiving service today - Doyin Okupe

Doyin Okupe says the farewell and thanksgiving service organized for President Jonathan at the Church of the Advent in Abuja today May 10th was an emotionally charged one that saw some eminent Nigerians dabbing their eyes. See what he wrote on Facebook below.
Thanksgiving service was held in honour of President Jonathan and his wife. It was a lovely event though quite an emotional one too. I saw eminent men and women dabbed their eyes. I struggled with mine.
This is part of the disengaging ceremonies. In a few days President Jonathan will bow out of office gracefully and graciously.
President Jonathan has done well and served his country well. He exits office as a great President. Perhaps Nigeria's greatest President for all time. Greater than the best before him. He excelled in achievement, in humility, tranquility and simplicity.

Nigerians misunderstood meekness for weakness, Restraint for lack of strength, reticence for inaction and calmness for indecisiveness.
But History will judge differently. He will be remembered as a great man, a good man, humble and humane, purposeful and focused. A great African Hero who fought against all manners of evil and conspiracies Religious, ethnic, national and international, and lost the war. But ultimately triumphed be cause of the inherent goodness that God Almighty deposited in Him. For he said " My ambition is not worth the life of any Nigerian'

Alas!! He meant what he said and stood by what he said even to his detriment and millions who believed in him.

Nigerians don't weep for Jonathan. Rather weep and pray that our Nation will remain United and stable, that it's people will prosper and that God will guide our in coming leaders
Right and endow them with the competency of His Wisdom to lead us aright.

We bow out with malice to no man and goodwill to all.
Personally I thank God for another opportunity to serve a second Nigerian President. I have no regrets only joy and peace.

I stood for Jonathan. I still stand by him and he will always be my President weather winning whether losing, in victory and in defeat..
Glory be to God.
May God BLESS NIGERIA.

Awon oles, they are just crying because they won't have free access to money and power. Btw, is it not this same Doyin, toad ugly and mama Faka that destroyed the man with their negative campaign?

Anonymous said...

GEJ excelled in achievements? Doyin is a joker. He is clearly one of the sycophants in GEJ's team. How can you say GEJ excelled in achievements. He did that and he didn't get re-elected? Then Nigerians are blind abi? Doyin is a joker I repeat. If you said he is humble I will agree, simple I will agree, tranquil ....hmm let me agree also but to have added that he excelled in achievements is a mockery the of GEJ and GEJ knows it.

It's time for an era to end and time for another to begin and maybe it will be a dominant era PDP has prophesied themselves (50 years) but all we gat to do is wait and see it all unfold. The future will judge itself.

Sorry Doyin, sorry okonjo, sorry diezani , sorry fani Kayode ,sorry Marylin Oga and the likes.

Kiss political relevance goodbye

Nigeria's greatest president of all time? Please Uncle Doyin. I think we have taken enough insults for a lifetime.
You have misunderstood our resilience for stupidity.
GEJ was inherently a gentle man, but he was an incompetent and naive leader.

With all these lamentations, GEJ would have realised that OBJ was a true friend who saw perdition far off and raised his voice. Nigerians from all works of life came together in 2011, despite the Northern under-age population, to ensure that a minority, was elected President of the Nation. But you in your clueless wisdom, deleted or shrunk most of your support base through mass looting, corruption etc. Rather than building on this goodwill to create a major block in the South West,South East,South South and the Middle-belt, decided to concentrate on the Ijaw militants as well as the self-conceited Chief Clarke. Be informed that Baba Clarke and the Militants are today somewhere sending emissaries to be in the good books of the President-elect.
GEJ handed our treasury to Diezani who concentrated on mass looting while also handing over our security to militants-OPC,MASSOB,Tompolo and the rest. GEJ's administration pushed Nigerians to the limit that they were prepared to vote an anti-corrupt LION as President of the Federal Republic. Do not be deceived, Nigerians only voted Buhari for President not the APC. The latter was only smart enough to have keyed into the marketable product.

One thousand Doyins cannot rewrite history. GEJ ran an incompetent and corrupt government as president. He will be on record as the worst president Nigeria has ever had. I can't wait for 29May.

Anonymous said...

SSA, I see you folks are not tired of deceiving GEJ yet. History will NOT judge him kindly. He will be remembered as the incompetent president that tanked a golden opportunity of sweeping reform. No worries, GMB will showcase the difference.

Haha haha @meetdrealevans. U no well ooh. I can't stop Laffing.

But it's People like Doyin Okupe that ruined the Goodwill GEJ had with Nigerians. GEJ was not perfect, when he made Errors in governance, they shld hv steered him back on Track. Instead The Praise Singers Hailed him more in the midst of So much Chaos. We have all seen the outcome.

GEJ may have had Good intentions, but he Surrounded himself with Evil Corrupt fellows, and now he's paying for it.

My president Sir..... Respect to you, as you know your country men only know who to talk but I know they will remember you. If not 4 years from now it's 8years from now or even 10years. Your country men are like the Isrealities no matter what Moses did for them, they were never grateful. I bid you farewell to your new post of assignment. Pls show another examplary service in the United Nations just as you had done in all your days of service to Nigeria. You are always a blessed child. You said all your school days has been on scholarship, you served as a lecture to impact minds, then you served as a Vice President to a state, you served as a governor to a state(bayelsa) he elevated you to serve as a Vice President to a country that has never said good about any of their leaders, you later served as president to a country (Nigeria) Now it's the big own to serve Africa!! Salute my president. Make We Nigerian that live you proud again as you serve Africa and put to shame those that mock you. I pray to be lucky like you have been, if such luck as yours does not get to me, let it atlesst get to my children. That the grace upon you be upon them and they will serve to leadership.
