My night out...

I went out yesterday evening with a few friends and I had a blast. Took some pictures. Check it out...

If you look closely at this picture, you will see a dark spot on my right leg. Remember when I told you guys I fell in a gutter and bruised my leg? Well that's the scar there. I've tried to bleach it out to no avail. So whenever I wear anything short I use foundation to hide the spot ...but sometimes I forget...like yesterday...:-). If you know how I can get rid of this dark spot...please share.

Finally changed my hairstyle after wearing the long curly hair for over three months...lol. This is the second time (I think) this year I'm wearing my hair short. Give me the long weaves any day..:-)

The way I was posing you'd think I was in a mall in LA or something..lol

At the car park...ready to leave.

By the way, you guys like my dress? Someone said something about it looking childish...
Dress your age Linda!!!
Whatever!!! lol
I wanted to look casual, trendy and chic. Did I get it right?

Where was this?

Use BIOOIL, use it twice a day and dont forget TWICE A DAY for like 3 months, its fades scars, stretch marks, a lot of pregnant women use it. it works so USE IT, dont use anything artificial or bleach, thats very bad.

linda, u look nice but i still feel bad about caroline johnson's death....

Use shea butter (ori or okuma) on your black spot. It's very good, it'll will clear in a month & a cheaper option than Bio oil. I use both of them but Bio oil will take longer to fade.
The dress & the gladiator sandals are both fab except that they don't go together.

You look lovely Linda, like you always do. The scars we all bear tell our stories, i remember being younger and asking my dad to tell me how he got some scars...made for some good bedtime stories!

Anyway, my point is that leave the scar alone! and you know lots of people read ur blog, don't get them thinking bleaching is a good thing. We both know better.

Happy holidays!

Bio oil does wonders for the skin, especially dark spots and stretch marks. Best of all, it does not bleach. Buy and use it everyday on the spot. It will fade in few months. You are such a lovely and sincere soul.

You look casually chic, love the hair cut and about the scar, if it bothers you then use Dermablend to cover it up OR if you are a tattoo person then use a tat to cover it up. And not that you asked me but the pictures are so so so typical Naija picture LOL. We just love to pose near cars, elevators, escalators, designers stores etc to show sey we don go somewhere, I don't know what that is about and I'm guilty of it too but as per you are a model, I did expect better but no judgement here, just an honest observation and I am not talking about you should have gone to a studio or anything but...sha, make I go, if you wan post my company, cool and if not, na you sabi LWKMD LOL

My GAWD
IS THAT A SATIN LIKE DRESS WITH GLADIATOR'ESQUE SANDALS?

YOU NEED A NEW WARDROBE,OR A STYLIST OR YOUR HEAD CHECKED---YOU ALWAYS LOOK SO "WOWO" DAMN..

AND THE COLOR OF YOUR WEAVE LOOKS DIRTY AGAINST YOUR SKIN--ABEG LOOK FOR A COLOR THAT SUITS YOUR SKIN TONE.

AS FOR THE SCAR ON YOUR LEG--USE BIO OIL AND PURE SHEA BUTTER.
BUT MAKE SURE YOU USE THE SHEA BUTTER AT NIGHT ONLY AS IT STINKS TO HIGH HEAVENS.

Linda you rock! You go girl! Thanks for keeping us informed, entertained,in stitches... and whatever it is that you do to add that positive spark to people lives! I voted for you at the futures Award. I hope you win!

Nice dress..but not for that kind of outing...a pair of jeans and top/tee would look better.
Dont be overly conscious of the scar on ur leg, with time it will fade, just keep ur body moisturized as usually.
mwl,hv u considered wearing dresses of other colors(other than black)?

Anonymous said...

Linda...you have nice legs. Unfortunately those gladiator sandals dont do them any justice....they seem to cut your legs in half.
Try mederma or biooil for the scar.

Christian said...

Linda hmmmm first u have small head, always add little attachment to your hair, not too much, plz learn to pack it backwards and for your dress...its not bad but i think the ability to know your best colour makes you to always stand out in every occasion and it creates more attention and attraction so i think u'd look better in red, wine, blue, black mixed with white but not complete black and you 're really in shape,i like that..very sexy
And hey leave the dark spot, some men likes to always picture smthg about you while you re far apart...serious!

@ anonymous 8.15, God bless u real big. Same thing came to mind wen i read this post of Lina having a blast..i tot, no so sooon, i mean, tot we just lost sm1. Even if u had fun on ur nite out, u should not have put it out this soon.
Anyways,we all think differently!...and for the dress and shoes, sorry, they dont go, n all those of u lying to Linda that she looks nice in that outfit, God forgive u all.

Linda...you look very nice and comfortable, I like it. The background looks like you are at the mall here in the US...how pretty...girl you are making me miss home so badly...as for the scar, you can try using cocoa butter stick on it or shea butter, it naturally fades scars and will work since the scar is still new...Girl, I really miss home and can't wait to visit soon, and as long as you promise to hang out when I do...linda don't forget me o
RANCEL babes for life!!!!

dear linda, how are you? usually for scars, advised to use vitamin E cream even bio oil.
wishing u Merry Xmas n Happy 2010!

there is is oil called bio-oil in that works wonders from dark spots, to removing stretch marks and tones dark areas on the face. It is not bleach though. I suggest bio-oil as I have used it to get rid of a scare on my arms and it has worked. I dont know if they sell it at ur ends but it is available in any pharamcy such as boots and shops like superdrug in the UK

hello linda,
who are these hi haters that come here to desecrate your blog and insult your style? You looked liked you had a good time and that's all that matters. Take care and Have a wonderful christmas celebration.

Anonymous said...

You trying to hide that spot on the 3rd picture?lol!...It seem like an awkward position to be in! Please try using boa or snake oil...heard it's good, and I'm wishing you the best this Xmas and a very joyous New Year!

the dress looks like its more appropriate for the evening...a short evening dress...its not so much as being childish but rather the timing appears wrong...

ify said...

my bad..i just realised u said u wore it for an evening function..so i guess it is appropriate..it just seemed like it was in the afternoon..and with the rhinestones and all...it threw me off...

y cant people critise without resorting to abusive words? it simply baffles me. some comments are enough to knock a lesser person's self esteem. linda you look lovely maybe a tad overdress.the gladiator sandal dont go with d dress either but in all lovely smile, lovely attitude. Dont bother your head about the scar-just flaunt it. it doesn't make u any less beautiful.

nawa o! it was 4 an evening thing now! shez allowed to wear a dress!!! i liked the dress ! the sandals not to much with the dress..u look fabolous still as long as u felt gud and had fun dats all dat matters

No hard feelings, but I still can't wrap my hands around the fact that, you are named Nigeria's top model. Don't get me wrong, you are a cute girl, but top model, don't think so. When I think of top model, I think of fierce, uniqueness, looking fabulous(not over the top), but you look like a girl next door. I will say, the hairstyle suits your small head, the dress is kinda of ok, but i feel like you should have worn different shoes. I don't know, maybe it's just the black you have on again, that is throwing me off, it's christmas time for goodness sake, u know time for colors. And if you gon wear black, glam it up with accessories. At the end of the day, you still my girl tho, bcos i like your simplicity, maybe i'm expecting surprises sometimes. Merry Christmas and Happy new year to you.

Stylist said...

The dress is nice, gladiators r ok but the color combination killed it. why all black? Add some color and you are good to go. One more thing, the weave is HORRIBLE. the side stitching is HORRIBLE. Get a better stylist or go a proper salon.

Good day

GURLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, you better than me in posting some of these very critical comments, some are downright petty, mean and insulting but then again, I guess if you are going to ask people if "you got it right?" then you should have croc skin to deal with the comments.

@anonymous dec 24 @ 5.53pm: there are quite a few models who were considered top models whose niche was the whole "girl next door" thing, e.g. Christine Brinkley, Cheryl Tiegs so Linda Ikeji can be considered a top model and have a girl next door appeal. Not all top models have to be in the vein of the Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbells, Linda Evangelistas, Heidi Klums.

Yes, there is nothing particularly striking about Linda ala an Alek Wek but she fulfills a niche and in Nigeria, what she does works...she might not make it in America but for Nigeria, she fulfills a need and is making a good living so obviously someone is buying what she's selling. And it isn't all about looks, charisma, wit, charm and a good business sense goes a long way so don't knock the girl's hustle.

i swear some pple amaze me with their comments..
linda puts herself out there so i guess she's fine with whatever reactions she gets...
but pple...you can state your opinions without necessarily sounding nasty...the overly sarcastic comments are uncalled for..cos i wonder if some pple feel better about themselves when they are rude to others??

Anonymous said...

..something less casual for the gladiators....wrong combo! u dress sense is scary! Merry Xmas!

Tari. N said...

I've been reading all the comments, and some of them are just downright insulting. Now, all those people saying they're being honest and 'the truth is bitter' all that is utter rubbish.

There are ways that you can criticize someone without being insulting or rude. If u think her dress doesn't look nice, that's your opinion and if you feel like you want to voice your unsolicited opinion, then look for a constructive way to do it.
That's why most of you are hiding behind anonymity because you don't have the guts to reveal your identity. You're just miserable people wasted in self pity scouring the internet, looking for who to transfer your worthlessness on.
Geez!! I'm so freaking pissed! idiots!!

One year, during one of her style nights, every one was complaining about how her dress and shoes didnt match and blah blah.
The next year, she made a conscious effort to change it. didnt she?
Abeg Linda, you're a wonderful person. I've been following this blog for years now and i've seen how you constantly listen to advice and try to change. that's a real woman.

I wonder what you have comment moderation for... if i was u, i won't publish these useless comments. Nobody asked them to even view this blog...Nonesense!

Happy New year luv!!
F.
