How that one take concern una i never understand!you people must have been looking at this girls since na una work!is it ur airline wen it gets to dubai na u go speak for them.there are other pressing issues:like why mr president closed the land border to send importation through seaport wen we no even get beta seaport apart from lagos which will be overcrowded!like kaduna killing, like the economy that is rendering lots of people unemployed, like rochas that wont pay pensioners there money due to them:monies that were saved during there working days, like the president employing only from one tribe, like ur house of rep memeber that jibrin called out, like the police officer that broke the head of an inec officer etc.but no the problem u seem to have noticed is the number of girls in emirates airline!i see where pirority dey.

ok, this is more like it. These are kind of sensitive issues that the senate should be debating, instead of senators debating MMM and wether Adams Oshiomole should marry a Nigerian or foreign wife.

Please address the education system first that makes the Nigerian educated unable to complete with the rest of the world.

Unknown said...

Thank you, if they can do this it'll at least reduce the number of unemployed graduates.

Bunch of stupidly selfish idiots!!! Now they are waking up to what they shud have woken up to since....mtcheewww!!!!

Thank God our so called leaders have started waking up from slumbers. Angola gv me visa for only 7 days when I needed 2months for my company training, reason been that foreign workers aren't allowed for more than one week in their country in order to protect Angolan work force. Mr President kindly do same in Nigeria oil sector cos foreigners have taken over the limited job in Nigeria. Pls enact laws to protect us.there is nothing foreigners can do that we cannot do.

This is absolute BS, you cannot force a sovereign country's airline to hire Nigerians...Here in the US, how many citizens does Emirates have as air hostesses? Same with other National carriers. Look here Mr Saraki, better go and find ways to restore our own National carrier...Instead of trying to impose your nonsensical theory on another nations carrier. Bunch of educated illiterates.

So the Senate is just knowing that.

They are welcome o!!!

Ministry of Labour nko. They don't know that too, abi?

May GOD help Nigeria(or should I have prayed that our leaders receive total wisdom)

I am speechless.

Enter your comment... Apart from making it mandatory for foreign airlines to employ nigerian crew or nigeria based crew. Its high time you sanitize nigeria's aviation industry by helping our domestic carriers & floating an unsentimental national carrier.

Mu mu no be only girls be cabin crew.

Only you that is Educated, There is something called Bilateral Air Service Agreement

Vic said...

Oh so it's now they just realize this when it's been happening for a few years now. If there was a proper collaboration between Ministry of Labour and Productivity, and Foreign Affairs then this wouldn't come as a surprise especially when expatriates coming into the country are recorded one form or the other. No one even implements the labour law rightfully stating Nigerian employees in organizations must be 70% or more of the workforce. The policy initially passed by former CBN governor on no expatriates in the banking industry is now becoming gradually abused.

Are you not foolish and incessitive to put down this piece..he is speaking for Nigerians in terms of employment and u are still complaining!!..1 word for you.!!!MADNESs

Anonymous said...

Lolzzz...just negodu!!! 'Educated unable to complete'

Unknown said...

Taking our jobs and yet label us criminals .. Sigh .. Time for our government to start looking into this .. You hire us or you get out..

The Senate President should educate himself about the business. Arik Air with about 100 daily flights in Nigeria employs just about 3000 Nigerians. How will Emirates with a maximum of 2 daily flights employ 1000??? Stop embarrassing us please a fight for better infrastructure in the Aviation industry

Anonymous said...

The first part of your comment is spot on. The part of the National carrier is not in tune with the times however. The Government has not fixed the Aviation infrastructure. They should do that and leave the operators to do their business, not compete with them in a broken system

Mumu, what has bilateral air svc agreement got to do with another country trying to impose on another? Bilateral means 2parties, both sides...so in essence both sides have to agree...what would a dumb fuck like you say if the opposite was the case? Would you praise UAE if they try to impose on the Nigerian govt? Just so u know, you dumb buffoon...stop using words that are too big for ur myopic brain!

Anonymous said...

Qatar Airways too! Not just cabin crew by the way. Their rep in Nigeria (Etihad that is) isn't even Nigerian. The ambassador of Nigeria to the UAE should be withdrawn and Ms Abike Dabiri sent there. The welfare of Nigerians in the UAE is seriously compromised. The country has a very bad image.

Anonymous said...

emirates is a National carrier not domestic, their flight crew is not domiciled in Nigeria. So you cant make them hire Nigerians if they dont want to.

Anonymous said...

It is sad to see matters like this taking front burner with our so called Senate and even someone like Abike Dabiri. You can't dictate to a man or organization who and how to employ. What if the people don't measure up? That they operate from your country does not mean they should or must employ from there. If you feel so strongly, create your own airline and employ only Nigerians, simple. Enough with this notice me working kind of mentality that does not sit well with this age and reality!

Unknown said...

they should look into other sectors like telecoms too.

Anonymous said...

Really Saraki. How many foreign airhostess does Arikair have on its international flights??

Ashley said...

Instead of them to look for how to get Nigeria a national carrier that can employ many Nigerians as staff they are looking for how to force international airlines to employ Nigerians. Nigeria my country. They obviously have a long way to go back there.

Anonymous said...

Well said, leave these ignorant fools.

Anonymous said...

Bros Bukky, you should focus on reviving the National Carrier. Also, SGBN and Trade bank to employ Nigerians or Kwarans whenever they are revived. If they kill all their companies like us, will you be saying these?

I am not really worried about the number of Nigerians employed by Emirates. Wealth creation is more than direct employment. We should be worried about their tax compliance and other statutory payments. Equally important should be our Government's drive to lobby them to engage more indigenous service providers/contractors e.g Aviation Fuel, Catering, Entertainment (to have Nollywood films on their on package). In that many more Nigerians are empowered by Emirates.
