2 Nigerian students back home after over a year in hiding in Canada

You guys remember the two Nigerian girls who have been in trouble with immigration authorities in Canada since June 2012 after they were caught working in Walmart? The girls, who were students of University of Regina, had student visas which only permitted them to work only on campus and not outside. They didn't know working outside campus was not permitted under the terms of their student visas and when they were caught, they were put under a deportation order. (Read the full story here)

Victoria Ordu and Favour Amadi (pictured above), have been in hiding for more than a year and took refuge in four different city churches hoping that the Canadian authorities will forgive them...but that didn't happen. The authorities refused to budge and the girls had no choice but to return to Nigeria. They left Saskatchewan yesterday Friday Oct 18th. They were scheduled to get on a plane to Nigeria last night, so they should be here by now..

According to the BBC, the University of Regina President, Vianne Timmons, was at the airport to say good-bye to the ladies. Timmons said the girls left voluntarily in the hope that doing so would allow them to return to Canada later. The University is vowing to help the students come back.

Kim & Kanye's concocted plan to post her sexy pic online revealed

According to a report by Life & Style, Kim didn't just wake up, put on a bikini, take a pic and share it on instagram...it was well thought out and planned...and boyfriend, Kanye West was in on the act.

Sources told Life & Style magazine, that Kim had been looking for the right time to show off her post baby bikini body and took many pics of herself in her racy white one-piece.

"After weeks of working hard on her figure, she wanted to make sure that her perfect angles were captured, and in the very best possible light. She took so many pictures and deleted them before she and Kanye decided on the one she posted,' an insider tells the publication. 'He had the ultimate say about Kim putting up the picture and decided which one he liked best.'

"The whole stunt looked as if Kim had just merely decided to post a snap from a professional photo shoot. Kanye even feigned genuine surprise, retweeting the snap and tweeting, 'Heading home now'.

Police nab fake LUTH doctor

According to a report by Vanguard the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday October 18th paraded a 40-year-old man, Adeyemi Stephen Akintolure (pictured above), a suspected fake medical doctor, who claimed to be a staff of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, with card No. 13541, identifying him as a surgeon and gynaecologist.

He said he is from Ondo State, studied Marketing at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, as a part-time student and graduated in 1997.

The fake medical doctor was said to have fraudulently obtained N500,000 from one Joy Umosekhaimhe of 2, Adesanya Close, Ifeko-Gbagada.

Akintolure, who said he uses the wife’s car as a mobile clinic, said the money in question was borrowed from Umosekhaimhe, adding “actually, it was not N500,000. It was N260,000 she lent me to use for my brother’s ailment.”

BBA Angelo back with his South African girlfriend, Candice Arends

This is another LIB exclusive. According to my sources in South Africa, Beverly Osu's man in the BBA house, South African dancer Angelo Collins is kinda back with his South African girlfriend, Candice Arends. Well, it's more like he's trying to woo her back and they've been spotted meeting up at different spots in South Africa. It remains to be seen if their reconciliation will be a permanent one.

Meanwhile, I heard that things kinda fell apart for Bev and Angelo while he was in Nigeria a few weeks ago. Not only did Angelo make Bev's people buy his ticket to come to Nigeria, he also refused to be intimate with Bev while he was here though they shared the same hotel rooms. (Don't ask me how I know these things lol). Angelo said he wanted to wait until things got serious between them. It didn't. And I hear Bev is sad about it but moving ahead.

Kinda rooting for these two. Let's see what the future holds for them...

Three of Yinka Ayefele's band boys disappear in the US

Gospel music styled secular singer, Yinka Ayefele left Nigeria on September 2nd with a 14-man band for a six-week musical tour of the US, which took them to New York, Washington, Houston, Atlanta, Baltimore, Maryland and Dallas. He returned to Nigeria this week with three band members missing. The three missing men according to a petition filed by Ayefele are:

1. The lead vocalist of Ayefele’s Merry-Makers Band, Solomon Motimoke popularly known as ‘Yatty’ who dumped the band while they were in Washington DC on 11th October.
2. Ojoyido Adegbenga Ezekiel (Keyboardist), who disappeared at the band’s hotel at Howard Johnson Inn on Rockaway Boulevard, New York on Tuesday, 15th October
3. Olusola Kayode Isaac (vocalist), who disappeared at the La-Guardiala Airport, New York on Monday, 14th October on his way from Houston.

Yinke Ayefele has written to the US Homeland Security, asking them to track and deport these men.

BBA Dillish and Maria hosted by Gov Adams Oshiomhole in Benin

This is a LIB exclusive and it is authentic. BBA winner Dillish Matthews and her Namibian best friend who also contested in BBA Maria Nepembe (pictured above) are currently in Nigeria. They came in quietly into the country a few days ago and went straight to Benin were they were hosted by Governor Adams Oshiomhole. You will recall that while in the BBA house, Dillish used to call on Gov Oshiomhole and other Nigerian rich men like Dangote to bless her with money and change her life. Well, God changed her life by making her the winner of the 2013 Big Brother Africa competition and Governor Oshiomhole, I hear, made her richer after her courtesy visit. :-)

BBA contestants Elikem and Selly are also in town. Dillish and Maria are currently in Abuja for another Selly's birthday party which will hold today October 19th at Sofa Lounge.

NCAA is not even ashamed to do a press conference and say they are looking for the whistle blower who broke the story of the two BMW armoured cars bought for Aviation Minister, Ms. Stella Oduah valued at N225million. Instead of looking for the whistle-blower, shouldn't they be prosecuting someone or some people for fraud and extortion?

The DG of NCAA, Capt. Fola Akinkuotu, said at a press conference which held yesterday Friday October 18th at the ministries HQ in Abuja, that the Federal Government was concerned about how the information got leaked to the public, saying that whoever leaked it committed a criminal offence.

“I am not saying that this particular information should not be put in the public domain, but how it was obtained is the concern. If somebody breaks into an office and makes copies of official documents, then the break-in has become criminal. So we are in the process of trying to find the source of this leakage and I am very concerned about it because this information may look trivial but there are other information that we have that are confidential and it is only fair for us to respect the confidentiality of information. I am not saying that they broke into our office, but they obtained the information illegally.”

Adams Oshiomhole signs death penalty for kidnappers bill into Edo state law

Edo State governor Adams Oshiomhole today October 18th signed into the Edo State law, a bill that prescribes the death penalty for kidnappers. The death penalty is not just for kidnappers who kill their victims, its for all acts of kidnapping whether it involves murder or not. The new bill also states that houses used by kidnappers will be demolished.

I took a job recently and realized my immediate boss is my married boyfriend's wife. I've had confrontations with this lady in the past, so imagine my shock at finding out she's my new boss. But the weirdest part of this is, since I joined the company, she has never acted like we know each other from the past. I'm worried. So my question is this; should I also act like all is well and pretend like I don't know this woman, or should I just move on, leave the company and find work elsewhere? As for the man we both share, I don't see us ever breaking up. And where I work is a place anyone would even wish to be hired as a contract staff. Please advice..

Rap mogul Master P's wife files for divorce after 24 years of marriage

After years of separation, New Orleans Hip-Hop mogul Master P's wife, Sonya Miller has filed for divorce from him citing irreconcilable differences after 24 years of marriage.

According to TMZ, Sonya is seeking full custody of their minor children and spousal support. Sonya is also the mother of popular actor and rapper Romeo Miller.

Two years ago Sonya tried unsuccessfully to sue Master P for an increase in child support after they separated but ended up with only $271.00 a month for all four of their minor children. Now that she's finally divorcing him, he'll definitely be ordered to pay more. Master P used to be worth about $200million based off of the success of his defunct Hip-Hop label, No Limit Records.

Saka fights Chukwumerije in the 2nd CCSF International Taekwondo Open in Abuja

Popular comic actor and MTN brand ambassador, Oyetoro Hafiz aka Saka is set for a Taekwondo showdown this weekend with Nigerian 3-time Olympian medallist, Chika Chukwumerije.

Also, Taekwando enthusiasts from over eight African countries, 25 Nigerian states, 7 Universities and para-military representatives are in Abuja for what has been dubbed the biggest taekwondo sports event in the country – the 2^nd CCSF International Taekwondo sports open.

The Taekwondo showdown by Saka and Chika will be an exhibition fight on Sunday Oct. 20^th 2013. This sports event put together by the Chika Chukwumerije Sports Foundation, (CCSF), is the 2nd International Taekwondo tournament and will hold in Abuja from October 19 - 20, 2013. Accreditation for the over 500 participants is ongoing prior to the 2 day event.

The foundation, an NGO dedicated to the empowerment of youths through sports, also promotes education amongst upcoming and elite athletes.

2 women miscarried after jealous friend who lost her unborn child poisoned them

Things that make you go - WTH? Unbelievable! Below is a story I found on UK Daily Mail about how two pregnant women miscarried after a jealous friend poisoned their drinks.

Secretary Angela Maier, 26, (pictured above) was desperate to have a baby of her own but suffered three miscarriages. The depressed woman was consumed with jealousy when she then learned that her sister-in-law and best friend were pregnant.

Maier told a court in Klagenfurt, Austria: 'I couldn't stand the thought of them having babies who would be growing up when mine was dead. Mine should have been with them as well, but instead mine died while theirs went on.'

She was suffering from depression as a result of her loss and the sight of her friend's impending births. The woman cruelly poisoned the expectant mothers' drinks with medicine she was prescribed after her miscarriage.
