A black judge in Kentucky has given two home invaders and armed robbers probation because he feels that their 3 year old white toddler/victim is 'racist' because in her victim statement the little girl said she is now afraid of black people after they broke into her home and threatened her with a gun.

Louisville Judge Olu Stevens attacked the tiny white toddler and her parents for their 'racism' calling the little girl’s statement 'disturbing' while at the same time excusing the actions of the criminals who traumatized her.

Zedi Feruzi - the leader of Burundi's opposition party shot dead today

It's getting serious in Burundi. The leader of a Burundian opposition party was shot dead today Saturday May 23rd along with his bodyguard, following weeks of anti-government unrest.

Zedi Feruzi was the head of the Union for Peace and Development (UPD) and was walking home with a bodyguard in Bujumbura's Ngagara district when he was attacked by gun wielding men.

An AFP reporter at the scene saw the bloodied bodies of both Feruzi and a police bodyguard lying outside the house soon after the shooting.

Press statement from NDLEA on Buruji Kashamu's house arrest

Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on May 23rd, 2015 placed Senator-elect Buruji Kashamu from Ogun State under house arrest. This is sequel to a formal request for extradition received from the Embassy of the United States of America pending his arraignment before the Federal High Court on Monday, May 25th.
Kashamu has been a target of both the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for over 20 years and was indicted in the Northern District of Illinois, United States on charges brought against him by ICE.

Buruji Kashamu placed under house arrest

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency says embattled Senator elect, Buruji Kashamu is now under house arrest until he appears in court on Monday May 25th when legal proceedings for his extradition to the US for drug related charges will commence.
"The Agency has commenced extradition procedures against Senator-elect, Buruji Kashamu, in line with the laws of country. He has been in contact with his attorneys and will appear in court on Monday,” Ahmadu Giade, NDLEA’s Chairman said in a statement released this evening.
Meanwhile the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Adoke Mohammed this afternoon said the US had officially requested for the extradition of Buruji from Nigeria to the US. The Minister said the siege laid at Mr Buruji's house by NDLEA officials today is in accordance with the laws of the land.

20 more women and children rescued from Sambisa forest by Army

The Nigerian military has rescued 20 more women and children from Sambisa foest. According to a statement by the defence headquarters, the women and children were rescued during its ongoing offensive in the forest yesterday May 22nd. Scores of terrorist were also killed during the operation. The statement signed by Defence spokesperson, Gen Chris Olukolade reads in part;
"Despite continuous encounter with large number of land mines, which still litter the Sambisa Forest, troops have forged ahead with the ongoing offensive operations as scores of the terrorists died in the assault on their bases on Friday. A total of 20 women and children were rescued at the end of the Friday operation.

Recall the large Drum that was spotted at the National Arts Theater a couple of days ago? Well, it turns out to be the Largest Drum in Africa and owned by Orijin. Orijin have done this as way of contributing to the growth of Arts and Culture in Nigeria. An official unveil ceremony is scheduled for Saturday the 23rd of May and its set to be the next biggest thing to happen at the National Arts Theater in a while.

Buruji Kashamu threatens suicide if NDLEA enters his home?

SaharaReporters has learned that Senator-elect Buruji Kashamu has barricaded himself in the master bedroom of his Ogun State residence, as Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency agents surround his home. Mr. Kashamu spoke briefly with a SaharaReporters correspondent and said that he would kill himself if anyone entered his home. Kashamu: NDLEA executes illegal abduction plot, lay seige to his Lagos residence - aide

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) this morning (Saturday,23rd May, 2015) at about 4:30am surrounded the Lekki Phase 1, Lagos residence of Prince Buruji Kashamu to allegedly effect his arrest following a purported extradition request from the US.
This latest onslaught is a confirmation of the alleged plot to illegally abduct him in spite of the pending suit against this illegality. As a matter of fact, the court has ordered parties in the matter including the NDLEA to maintain status quo until judgment is delivered on Wednesday 27th May 2015.

Pres. Jonathan, VP Sambo, ministers to travel abroad after May 29

According to a report by Punch, President Jonathan, VP Namadi Sambo and many ministers will travel out of the country shortly after the May 29 inauguration of a new government.

Jonathan is supposedly traveling abroad for what he calls 'a much deserved rest' while Sambo is planning to travel to London on May 31, two days after the inauguration of Buhari to also rest.

Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, will reportedly return to the US while Mrs.Diezani Allison-Madueke, has already travelled out of the country. She left Nigeria for London yesterday but will return next week and will travel out again before the inauguration.

According to the guy who tweet the photo, the cars in the photo belong to the NDLEA and that's the Lekki home of the senator-elect. The officials had stormed his home early this morning to effect his arrest and extradition to the US on alleged drug charges.

Mother found pushing dead 3year old boy on swing in Maryland park

A Maryland mother was found early yesterday Friday May 22nd pushing her dead 3-year-old boy on a park swing, according to US police. Officers responded to a call around 7 a.m. to check on a woman who witnesses said had been pushing a child for hours on a swing at Wills Memorial Park in La Plata, Washington, D.C., said Charles County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson.

One witness told deputies she found it strange that the woman had been pushing the child for an unusually long period of time, possibly since the day before, Richardson said.

Osun worker attempted suicide: Family denies report, says its unconnected with unpaid salary

Family members of Mr. Femi Owolabi who reportedly attempted suicide in Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State have denied the report by the Punch Newspaper that the incident was in connection with unpaid salaries. They said the incident was a family affairs, just as they noted that the newspaper goofed by mentioning the name as Ojo Owolabi.

Photos from the fight at Conoil Filling station in Ketu this morning

One of the staff of Conoil filling station opposite Apostolic church in Ketu, Lagos and a customer fought each other this morning. According to eyewitnesses, the fuel attendant, while trying to chase people away from the filling station, attacked this particular customer with a big gallon, and left him with a gash on his face. Others around had to take him to a corner to attend to his wounds as he was said to be bleeding from his nose and mouth. What fuel scarcity is causing in Nigeria...
