Kogi State plans trauma centre along the Okene-Lokoja-Abuja highway

The Deputy Governor of the state, Mr. Yomi Awoniyi, in a statement said the Kogi State Government will establish a trauma centre along the Okene-Lokoja-Abuja highway to attend to accident victims.
Awoniyi made the  statement during the visit of the new Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, Mr. Charles Abochi. Awoniyi explained that they had to establish the trauma centre due to the high level of vehicle accidents being recorded on daily on the road.

The deputy governor said the SURE-P Hospital at Osara would be converted and re-equipped to serve as the trauma centre.

Awoniyi promised that the state government would support the FRSC to reduce road accidents.

What is d point of a deputy governor? Every state shld have a governor. If he's incapacitated d speaker of d state house can takeover. Its just laziness.

IDEALLY A TRIAGE/AMBULANCE UNIT SHOULD BE LOCATED SUCH THAT THEY ARE NEVER MORE THAN 10 MINUTES AWAY FROM ANY POINT ESPECIALLY ACCIDENT HOTSPOTS ON A MOTORWAY. THE MORE THE ROAD NETWORKS, THE MORE THE SERVICES SHOULD EXPAND TO FIT. NIGERIA IS CWNTURIES BEHIND ON HEALTHCARE DELIVERY AND SAVING THE LIVES OF IT'S CITIZENRY.

EVEN THOUGH IT'S TOO LITTLE TOO LATE BE, IT IS A WELCOME DEVELOPMENT AND ONE CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THE KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT LEADS BY EXAMPLE.

Dis is lovely, and great development. God bless them for dis.

Happy New Month!

I pray today marks total turn around in our lives, and point of contact to every household wit God meeting our needs even b4 they arise.

Change does not necessarily assure progress but progress implacably requires change. Change is inevitable. Change 4d better is a full-time job.

Change is here in Nigeria, and remember true change begins with a change in our attitude!

God bless Nigerians!
God bless our leaders!
God bless Linda Ikeji, and all LIB reader's!

Welcome 2d month of June. Shalom!

Trauma centre for a road that is a death trap! Misplaced priorities. Shame on all you seeing this as a development...
