Tragic accident on 3rd mainland bridge last night causes severe injury, eye witness gives account of what happened (Graphic photos)

According to Twitter user, Gbemi Famoti, an accident occurred on third mainland bridge on Thursday 13 January 2017 which left some injured, led to the destruction of over ten cars and nearly claimed his life.

The accident was as a result of an oversight by the road construction company. Famoti wrote on Twitter, blaming the government for the accident that almost claimed lives, saying it was as a result of their "constant negligence and disregard for safety."

"How will you start construction on 3MB, abandon it with no caution or sign or indication to let drivers know?" Famoti tweeted at the Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode. He went on to share a gory photo of one of the victims of the accident. "

@ Gbolahan thank God for your life.

I know him well and this is no joke.

Yes the Lagos state government is working, but more needs to be done to prevent things like this from happening. Also the construction company must be sued to ensure these victims are compensated.

Nigerians wake up. This is a systematic method the power mongers employ to use innocent people as human sacrifice. May God not allow His children to encounter their trap.

Imagine...Safety should be taken seriously. The safety officer of the company working there and the company itself should face punitive sanction and compensate those affected.

let us reason, 3rd mainland bidge is a Federal road, FERMA is currently carrying out maintenance on the bridge, if you had a functioning brain you will forward your complaints to Fashola the Minister of Works and Femi Hamzat the South West Controller of FERMA. kind regards
