Members of the incoming 8th National Assembly will be electing their new leaders next week Tuesday June 9th. Strong contenders for the Senate President are Sen. Bukola Saraki and Senator Ahmed Lawan. Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila and Hon.Yakubu Dogara are strong contenders for the seat of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The right person for the job is Hon. Gbaja. He has been tested and we saw his robust contributions to debate in the 7th National Assembly. Honestly speaking not much was known of Hon. Dogara until the issue of speakership came on board. Dogara himself know that he's not a match for Hon. Gbajabiamila when it comes to the issues of intelectual contributions to debates in the house. Certain vested interest are using him to deny Hon. Gbajabiamila the post of speakership of the 8th Assembly. Time will tell.
