This is a well known Kalabari/Ijaw tradition for unmarried women. As a kid, i used to see pictures of such from my mum's photo album. It is culture and i have learned to respect it. Though i cringed initially.This tradition was very popular in Kalabari/Ijaw until the 80's. Personally, i have never seen a live display topless. It is only through pictures.
Speaking of morals, not until we imbibed western culture, women and mothers moving around topless was very common in our society. infact, some tribes in east africa still practice this as a norm.
