Photos: The handshake between Sen. Ndoma 30 years ago & today

Left is Victor Ndoma Egba shaking hands with Gen. Buhari when he was Head of State in 1985. At the time, Ndoma Egba was commissioner in the old Cross River State. 30 years later, Ndoma Egba is now Senate Leader and is seen shaking hands with Buhari this week (right) as he led a delegation of prominent people from Cross River to pay a courtesy visit to the president-elect.

How can the country develop/move forward with this trend of recycling of brainless and greedy leaders. When will the youths ever be the leaders of tomorrow when most of them are already brain washed by this old political commandos. God deliver Nigeria.

Isn't it funny that this even and picture was taken 30years ago? And up till now this same people are still in government? I thot they said the future belongs to the youth? Maybe the youths aren't born yet or they are dead!... Yet the so called youths have become a tool for electoral violence by these people and are celebrated as leaders!

Yes he has, and deserves to be where he is. He was a commissioner @ 28, and should serve as an example to this government. Most of his critics don't know what he stands for.

To all of us the youths , my word of advice is that life is a choice. And we will certainly live with whatever choice we make, when such advice as stay off drugs and abstain from cultism makes no sense to us, nothing will ever make sense. Sen. Ndoma-Egba's story was meant to encourage and challenge us. He was able to get this far by dint of hard work. it might interest us to know that his late father on assuming office as court of appeal judge bequeathed his private legal practice to Kanu Agabi now SAN. His son Victor had to go work and earn salary in Kanu Agabi's Chambers. How many parents will do that today? And to the youths how many of us will accept such decision and not revolt against the father? For record purpose Sen. Ndoma-Egba was appointed commissioner from Kanu Agabi's chambers for which he served for only 2years and 10months. After which he returned to Kanu Agabi's chambers. He was to later set up a law firm Ndoma-Egba Ebri and co with his partner and has been in private business since then till 2003 when he won election to the Senate. If we work hard, we could be better than him. Leave the comfort of your parents home and go see what the future holds for you.

Yeah, shame on the youths. Too scared to die for their country. Refuse to join political parties. Content to earn salaries and or be jobless and stay out of government. Allow their daddies and sugar daddies fund their fake lifestyle while the old time politicians still walk the corridors of power.Shame on the Youths

Thank you for that. Read a book. Learn proper grammar and maybe then you can be a leader...
