Governor Rochas Okorocha to float airline for Imo State?

That's what I'm hearing o. Sources say the Imo state governor has concluded plans to float an airline for Imo State people to be known as Imo Air...

Feasible? Necessary?

Someone who said he wants to make Imo a one city state! It's feasible but i don't think it's what Imolites need now. Will it just serve the Owerri Airport? Too many buts here.
Good campaign for 2015 though.

now this is stupid. i know the man is trying to transform his state but rushing to have everything in your state in four years without proper structure makes no sense. he is supposed to provide infrastructure to attract private airlines and all. they are tons of ways to provide for your state. this is not done anywhere in the world and will fail after he leave. expand roads and create mass transit like newyork or start underground rail roads. haba okoro think na

I think he is doing something good. Your state does not have to be london before you invest in something like aviation. If properly managed it can become like ethopian airways which is a world renowned airline but the country is not befitting for the class of their airline.

Well if he can achieve that, then thats good for the state. But personally i don't see it as a priority.

Think of all the jobs this will create for Imo people! Good move!

Yes, it is necessary. Dats my governor working. There are necessary income to be made from this. and hopefully in the future we in American can fly direct to Owerri via Imo air instead of stopping over in Lagos, Abuja and PH. Shoo, is about time.

I know this man is doing his job as he promised. The fact that both of my parents' pensions came in as he promised; are signs he can do the work he says he wants to do. The man said there're plenty of money to build Imo. I believe him.

Does the state have the money to fund all the recently announced projects? Why can't he just take it one step at a time....he seems to be in a hurry to do everything....he's barely a year o.

let him do jobs he can finish, we do not want another abandoned project again

Why can't some people see the good aspect of everything? This man has done great, yet some people are unsatisfied.

I have not been to Imo since he came into office but if the People of Imo feel he is doing great then i support. The airline shld b restricted to their pple.

he needs to rebuild the airport first. I believe it only has one runway (from what i remember) and no terminals, NADA. Maybe if it was a two-runway airport and it could be upgraded like the airport in Akwa Ibom, then the idea doesn't sound far-fetched.
