Thanks anonymous 1.49pm for speaking the truth, they would soon call you a hater! Yes, she is actually older than that. I know someone who dated her when she was a teenager and already had her child and she is either 35 or 36 years old. Babes and reducing their age, used to do it myself!! lol

happy birthday dear,btw@abisola so because u r married,u hv won a ticket to heaven and we shud all crawl under a rock.pls hv a seat, to b married is nt the best achievement anyone one can have.many married ppl are miserable anywayz so wats d hype.many married men&women r seekin happiness outside their homes and d unmarried ones seem 2 b happier these,so dnt boast abt bein married ok,its nothin these days

@ abisola....LWKM!!!!! u r not alone in ur tots o!!! we, our yrs r increasing bt dey deir's is stagnant...lol...i only wonder who dey think dey r foolin if not demselves

@Abisola i think you are nuts, who cares if your married? and who told you that @32 time is going? i can bet it shes happy @32 being single than you @ 33 married, marry her to your Brother abi?
@Linda hmmmm are you Genevieves publicist, u dnt ever talk abt the lovely KATE HENSHAW, RITA DOMINIC, UCHE JOMBO, INI EDO, FUNKE AKINDELE ETC...why Genevieve all the time please talk abt other people dearie.....!

Awe happy Bday love. Even tho she's getting annoying these days

Abisola...you are so daft for that comment. comparing yourself at 33 yrs with 2 kids and married to Genny...you are silly. Geez..i guess marriage is the yardstick for success...no one gives a flying fig about you being 33 married with kids...if anyone did, then we would know who u are, you inconsequential rot. I hate when married women with kids look down on single women. not fair. our purposes in life are different. we are all called to this world to impact others' life via different channels. some thru charity, some thru motherhood, teaching, music etc. stop using the same myopic yardstick to measure everyone. ewu!

Geez!!! Unmarried girls always get an attitude anytime you mention marriage.why ? I am not supporting anyone but in our culture ( I am speaking for all nigerians ) yes marriage is an achievement and a big one at that.marriage is a womans covering.especially for Christians.that is how God has made it to me that a woman will leave her birth home and be joined with a man,and the two shall become one.but also every woman has her time, some marry at 15, some at their mid twenties while some may marry even in their late 30's and 40's.it doesn't matter.marriage is marriage,God will they will still bear children. So pls people don't demean the importance of marriage just cos ur not marriage, and you that is married already pls don't rub it on other peoples faces, you don't know 2moro.and your not God.just be grateful for what he has given you and be sensitive to other peoples plight.

Anonymous said...

@ Abisola, you are 33 , married and with 2 kids..Thanks for the info!
One question though.. are you happy? FOOL!

Anonymous said...

Happy Birthday to you. But seriously you look prettier and younger in this picture. Why not continue like this with less makeovers

Alicia says... said...

marriage is not all that its cracked up to be. so people should be running to get married just to anyone because its "GETTING MARRIED" the question is, are you HAPPILY married?
mtchewww!

Femiluv said...

lmao @ the marriage comment! Who freakin cares if Abisola is married or not. People take different paths in life, God has different plans for everyone! Yeah, you may be married and have kids at 33, someone else may get married at 43 - doesn't make you better than them. Thanks but we don't want to hear about it so keep it to yourself!

abiola or wat ever ur name is,u said it all dat u r not matured, let me even ask u wat is marriage,i believe u dont know,no bi 2 born children alone.at 24,i became a Barrister, and at 30,i have 4 kids.so get lost girl, block head.Gene baby ride on with ur beautiful career.love u.Happy birthday.

Anonymous said...

@abisola wonders shall never end. You think that every woman should be married when they are in their 30ies let me tell you, you have to be satisfied with your life first.

As a woman myself in her late 3oies i am not married but i have a successful finance career and in a months time would become a fellow in a professional worldwide organisation which is an achievement and i am also about to start my PHd and not being married at that age does not matter too much.

So leave gene alone and let her achieve what she wants to before she settles down OKAY!!!

I no fit shout oh. See as the conversation went from b'day wishes to the issue of marraige. I tire oh! As for those who argue that marraige is an achievement (In the Naija sense), why are there so many abject, poverty stricken married women in Nigeria looking like a shadow of themselves, all dried up like bonga fish and sending their kids to sell wares on the head in between cars? Since there are alot of married people in Naija, why is Nigeria still a 3rd world country?

And then the one misquoting the bible to suit her stunch cultural beliefs (Annonymous May 4th, 11:20AM), can you kindly tell us where in the bible it states that all women should get married? What if you don't want that for yourself? You should go right ahead and sign your life on earth away to a life of misery right? And what covering are you talking about? If the man dies today, what happens to your useless covering? I guess you will jump to the next useless covering. My bible tells me JESUS alone is my covering and not a mere mortal that lives today and kicks bucket tomorrow! Stop forcing people into an "institution" that so many women are miserable in especially in that Naija where the men treat the women like shit!

Be careful how you married women brag about marraige. The man can be here today and gone tomorrow. Same can be said for kids. Just look at all the young Nigerians we have sadly lost this year alone and we are not even in the 6th month of the year. Don't castigate others because death is as real as life and no one knows what tomorrow will bring.....especially in our unpredictable world!

Happy b'day Genevieve. I wish you many more years and God's Blessings and protection over you....Amen!

WOW!!!! Una to much ooh.
1. Genny grew up in Lagos, her age is not a secret, she would be stupid to lie. She is 32 and rocking the hell out of it looking like a chick in her early twenties.
2. Marriage is good and an achievement if it is actually working out but that does not mean women should pursue it as a career. When it happen, it happens and it is beautiful.
That said @Abisola be human, do you know what it is to be in Genny's shoes? Do you know how many men profess undying love only to find out that it is the actress they love and not the person?
When her time comes, she will get married and if she chooses not to,it doesn't make her any less a woman. By the way she done born sef so if she chooses not to marry, nothing spoil. That said I am married with a child but i crave the fulfilment of a flourishing career like hers so she has something I don't have (yet). @Abisola, do you have all that you need in life to fulfil you through your marriage? I doubt that.
