GEJ: 500 Nigerians evacuated from Egypt

In keeping with my word given on this page last year where I said the life of every Nigerian has a personal value to me, I, Good luck Jonathan, immediately ordered the evacuation of Nigerians from Egypt when the situation there escalated. Nigerians should be proud to note that before nationals from other countries were evacuated, Nigeria had evacuated over 500 of her nationals. GEJ on FB.

500 people? Wow! That's great. Why are y'all sitting down? Please give him a standing ovation.

before nko... is it me that will go and evacuate them? GEJ should be ashamed of himself for looking for cheap applause for doing HIS job. only Nigerians that do not know what they are entitled to will be clapping for this man. Somebody should tell him that there is still a lot to be done. nonsense

LOL!! U r being sarcastic right?? I love this man, well not love but I think he's ok but someone should please tell him to stop blowing his own trumpet. But then again it's election year. His good deeds have to be highlighted.

yeso i will applaud him but what about the people being massacred in Jos on a whim, i bet you those nigerians are safer in egypt than the people who live in jos.
my point? yes it is his job, it shouldnt be such a big deal, he deserves commendation for his eye service but he should first handle his domot adequately first before playing world mcsuperheropants.

culd pple cut all this Jos/North slaying crap, it's been going on for decades, I don't remember anyone doing as much as GEJ & Yaradua did! Even Obasanjo who claimed to be tough didnt do a hoot nor the previous presidents!

It was obvious these criminals were being backed up by some religious godfathers.GEJ is not an elected-president,circumstances got him there, yet he sacked the Inspector-General of Police and the Director-General of the National Security Agency bcos of this same North slaying! No president in d history of Nigeria took such a decision in the face of such a crisis.

Why wuld he go & create enemies for himself when he isn't certain he wuld win election. That's probably why he's treading safe paths lik Egypt evacuation bcos no one wuld come after him tomorrow to kill him for that.

He can blow as many trumpets as he wants as far as he is doing something different & new for the nation!

Y'all knw he is way better than all the past president,so quit throwing all ur decades of expectation & fustration on him,he's only human & he's trying.period !!!

Anonymous 10.55pm, your line of thinking is disturbing. do you think GEJ is doing charity/community service there? or dont you know he is more than well paid to the job he's doing? so what if he sacked whoever sacked? the vast majority of nigerians are still suffering in poverty. if you were personally affected by the Jos killings then you will feel more strongly about it and not wave it aside as a normal occurence. Or do you think you are better than those women and children who are being killed. You would think that stopping the bloodshed would be one of his priorities.
To be the president of nigeria is a tough job because it has been wrecked for ages. you can't be expecting applauses at the moment when there's still a lot to be done. Go to america and see how they are giving obama a hard time to perform miracles. in nigeria, if GEJ plants one flower, people like you will say he's the best president we've had.
Abeg nigerians let's wake up.

GEJ!!! you have not done anything spectacular because you have just given those nigerians their right.I am looking forward to a day when nigerians would be able to differentiate right from priviledge...this does not warrant an applause....moreso naija`s security situation is worse than that of egypt presently....i am afraid they have just jump from frying pan to fire!!!!i pity them.

@anon 10:55pm, Obasanjo declared state of emergency during his regime. Go and check. What has he done? Apart from riding on others' shoulders and living on sentiments, what else has he done? He's only ood aat talking. Talks, TAlks, Talks. We need actions. We are no longer interested in all these talk. I don't care about who becomes the president of this country so far the person will listen to the voice of an average nigerian. Hausa man, Yoruba man, Ibo, Ijaw, Tiv, even a kanuri man, I don't care! Let the best man emerge! Naija don pass this kain sentiment wey this politicians wan dey use concerning the next election.

GEJ is a clown. All he does is talk crap all the time.
A visionless and inept president.
we don't need a stumbling president who has no will to tackle our biggest problems.
If we vote this man in again, it will just be business as usual.
