Subomi Balogun's FCMB Sacks 200 Workers, Shuts Down Branches

About 200 staff of the Otunba Subomi Balogun-led FCMB Bank were recently sacked on resumption of their official leave. Some branches of the bank were also shut down.

The spokes person for the Bank, Mr Kenny Aliu, confirmed and explained the reason for the development, saying that the figure represented less than eight percent of the entire work force of the bank and that the sack and the closure of some of the bank’s branches were part of an ongoing process of strategic growth of the bank.

I hope the affected staff were given a beffiting severance package. If not, FCMB mgt. should be ready to face the wrath of NUBIFIE as they wanted to do to the mgt of Union, Intercontinetal and Unity bank.
