Designing your personal website is good and the main aim of redesigning is to improve on the existing one but i think the newly redesigned website isn't going to cut it. The only improvement i can see is the increase in the number of posts. Please don't switch to the new one. It's too cluttered. I am a web developer and i don't think you should switch to your own design

Hello Linda, your new website is amazing. However, i prefer using a mobile app. The current app displays parts of the news and redirects one to your website. Some of us would be really happy if we could get all the news on your mobile app. It is easier to read, star, share and comment from the app.
Linda I love the new site but there's a problem....too many news scattered here and there means that most of your stories will be barely read. The good thing with blogger is that each story gets full attention because you have to scroll past it to get to the next story and the element of surprise for the next story is there.
My advice is this, redo the site just like blogger and have past stories and the right and ads on the left and every other vacant space.

1 - Surely, this is not a Beta version of your coming site. This is simply horrible. Beta versions of sites are way better and classier. This one is a mess.
2 - The Home page is EXCESSIVELY loaded. May be problematic for people using Mobile phones to access your blog. Also, one would hope your site/blog will be fully responsive for mobile photos.
3 - Furthermore, too many news all at once on one front page would bore and/or discourage many. Worse, that would limit the number of time they would visit your blog. After a single visit, they may feel they have read all there's to read in a day. Visits being the holy grail of a blog, it's necessry you make your visitors keep coming back SEVERAL times a day.
Yours a blog NOT an alternative newspaper for young Nigerians. Do not transform it into a daily newspaper. Do not compete with the likes of the The Sun, Vanguard etc... News and gist have to pop up and be regularly uploaded in your blog in keep people coming back again and again and ALMOST INSTINCTIVELY.

Well it seems cool, but a lot of people are used to the linear pattern that's very user friendly, this particular new style looks similar to other news blogs and sites with the archive and top post thumbnails, plus it might very much affect your traffic at first go cause people aren't used to it, but change is good though,nice one 👍

I applaud your wanting to move from blogger to a platform you own and control. I don't think you've chose the right persons to implement this move. The design looks very dated, no modern design elements. Nigerian newspapers even have better looking interfaces. As an experienced website designer, I have some few observations to state on your new template.
1) The most obvious dislike of this theme is that it is too clustered. If your site is to clustered with news here and there, users will be overwhelmed and some may not pass through 2 -3 news stories before they leave sue to the many posts.
2) The mobile version of this theme is not too appealing. Then, I tried changing my browser to desktop version there I will say it was somewhat better.
3)Rework on your header. For example, if we check Bella Naija I think I prefer theirs.
What I like :
1) The ability to like comments
2) The fact that you get access to somewhat more news but that doesn't mean it should be clustered.
There are also some observations
* With your ten years in blogging, you oughtto have a contact page. Ask your tech team they'd know. Your contact page should have a form and all that.
*Also, I want to believe you bought your own domain hosting plan and as such you'd have access to what we call your CPanel? Please create an official email like: ads@lindaikejisblog and not the lindaikejiads@gmail.com . Move to your own email too.
Anyways, I wish you all the best! May God crown your efforts with success.

Linda, migrate to WordPress and get one of the best premium responsive magazine theme...this new site doesn't really look cool on mobile and its looking like the old site.
It is quite okay, viewing from a PC, ipad or tabs makes it easier, but viewing from a normal phone becomes too complex or complicated but all the same u are doing a great job

Why not just do what other websites do. Create 3-7 major tables/categories(entertainment news, international news, style), you could divide the front page into three, label each article according to the table/category name, and always send them to one of the three sections of the front page.. Put the category on top and the headline below the category/name and create an archive on top of the page, where people can check yesterdays news, celebrity. In addition, if you categorize you will know which section you are weak on and whether to want to improve in that section or not. It will be easier to get data on how bad the gossip in this site has been and how self indulgent the blogger has been. Linda news has to be a category.

The uniqueness of the old LIB lies on the simplicity format. While the new blog is modern, it is clogged and may not allow users navigate your news properly. Consider designing the new blog with the old style in mind. Consistency is key in blogging. All the best Self Made Boss.
