Shafer Records makes its official entry into the Nigerian music industry

Shafer Records, a brand new record label is set to unleash a whole new level of musical ingenuity into the Nigerian music scene. The label was officially launched on 12th October, 2016.

Shafer Records, which is the brainchild of a South African-based entrepreneur, Isaiah Oyibo (Shafer), was founded as a wholly independent music label on February 17th, 2016.


The label is home to multi-talented recording artistes such as, Theory (Samuel Oyibo), Lugi (UtibeNdah Mackenzie), and Eluku (LameedTemitayoLukmon).


The first single released under the label was by Theory, titled “Changes”. The single is presently on South African and Nigerian airwaves. The video for the single is also on video streaming platform, YouTube. Theory has also recorded songs with some notable Nigerian artists such as “On a low” by Theory which features Vector and Del B, amongst others. The team effort of the label “Too Much Love” is currently enjoying airplay across Nigeria. The label also has an in-house start of the art studio.

In addition to these successes, the label also has to its credit singles such as “Something for You”, “Yahwey’’ recorded by Lugi and “My body or money’’, by Eluku.

According to Isaiah Oyibo, CEO of Shafer Records, the label intends to produce top artistes which are capable of producing good music across Africa and influence the lifestyle of its esteemed audience and fans positively.

These talented Acts in Hip-Hop, Rap, R & B and Soul music have joined forces to create amazing musical experiences which will take Nigerian music to the next level.
