On Black Friday, no item is off limits. The
bargain can be achieved on electronics, fashion, home appliances, furniture,
baby clothes and gardening equipment.
It is an interesting fact that people who
are not crazy about shopping shop on Black Friday. No one can resist the
influence of a good thing.
In November 2013, Nigeria’s number one
online retailer, Jumia.com pioneered the
concept of black Friday in Nigeria and was able to create a buzz that saw
unique visitors to the website reaching over a million. As a first attempt,
this number is impressive. However, you can bet that this year will be even
bigger and better as analysts say numbers should reach record breaking heights.
Black Friday is a day that all the
Christmas shopping can be achieved at the lowest possible prices so make sure
you are prepared to bag the best bargain for friends and family.
In a survey of some Black Friday Shoppers
in Nigeria on social media, many
respondents acknowledge Black Friday
is one of the best shopping experiences ever. And despite initial skepticism
due to the brand new shopping concept, they weren’t disappointed with prices
and offers they met on the day.
Shop Black Friday.

It's not the last Friday of November. Its the 4th friday of November. Sometimes November comes with 5 fridays. So officially Thanksgiving is every 4th Thursday of November, and black Friday must be the day after.

Linda abeg stop publicising that annoying site, can you believer this people brought the wrong order to me, I waisted almost 1000 on calls b4 they dignified me with. A response; someone came to collect it after but the good is nowhere to be found, my money has entered voice mail, and this iss almost three weeks after the transaction. They are a messed up company! !!! I know you will not want to post my comment but the truth is bitter. All I want is my money or the good I ordered for.

Black Friday is an American thing.... What business do Nigerians have with an American event ? This inferiority feeling and usurping everything American is senseless
Nigerians too dey copy! That's how we have copied Halloween mentality, now they wan copy Black Friday ... We never copy the most important things, only irrelevant stuffs

Ovo, everyone shops and no one is disputing that. What is being said is that 'black friday' is a copied concept and does not suit our culture. Try telling a market woman/man that today is black friday for discounts and I bet they will tell you attribute it to some occult practice.
And you are also a black person, aren't you? Yet you think black stands for sorrow...... Hmmmm
Dnt mind them..what d heck do dey know abt black Friday, una for do thanks given join nw..copycats!!!
I really don't know why we can't come up with our own shopping holiday. It does have to be the same day and tradition as the US.
Story for the gods. We have finished shopping Ur still here doing analysis. Mschwww.
TGIBF!!!
Who says black Friday is for Christmas gift. Naija sef.
I pray and hope u see this!!
As a learned person, I expect even a Professor to b happy if corrected as to a mistake or misunderstanding...even happier if he finds out he was wrongly corrected out of further findings and in turn corrects dat person again...
This is someone trying to point Linda in d right direction, simultaneously educating every reader of dis blog rightly, am sure Linda wud even apprct dis guys piece..nd dia u are, uttering such statement.."Story for the gods..." Exhibiting simple stupidity out of absolute absence of common sense!! Olamide Badoo should even slap u for biting him..Dat tym expended on typing such silly comment wud have been enough for u to absorb such fact nd b a beta person, an essence of 'The Internet'...I c pple like u and do notin but pity d future of this country! #Nohate
@poster who said black friday is an American thing, you are so wrong cos the UK also recognizes it.
