Funny notice to LUTH medical students

Left is a notice posted on the students' notice board at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Idi Araba. The Dean of Student Affairs has officially banned the use of earphones on its premises as from Monday, next week. Thought I should spread the message here in case some of you students haven't seen it yet! Lol

Shut up your mouth! Why didn't you carry him somewhere else? Didn't you know it was a 'teaching' hospital? Do you know how delicate brain surgery is? Please just shut up.

Sweetie, to enlighten u luth is nt for just medical students, nd by d way nt all d ppl dt av eavpiece plugpluggdistening to sme smeket called music, dr r audio versions of medical lectures, so dt hdtpens too...I mean just to let u kno...nd by d way listening to music while on my way to class has absolutely nothing to do with me studying my books

Anonymous said...

Pls r students brain surgeons?

Anonymous said...

Pls I dnt get how earpiece makes ppl focused... this is jst a case of misplaced priority. Instead ppl r sayin help dem focus n good law

Unknown said...

Eber, knowledge is apparently far away from you. Otherwise you would know student docs don't undertake surgeries. The law is useless. They are not training kids.. Its your right to go deaf if you want to, you are not putting someone else at risk. There are more important issues to handle like power supply and water. Students are suffering and the only thing giving us serenity is now being prohibited. Retarded set of leaders.

I support it. LUTH medical students need to learn the ethics and decorum of the profession.

Amoni.... chacha... guess who this is???

Unknown said...

I wonder o

Anonymous said...

Give us light first before asking us nt to use earpiece

Anonymous said...

Still trying to understand the significance of that rule...

In my medical school days in UCH Ibadan, you dare not put an earphone while in class, on the ward or even in clinic not to talk of the theater. Its unethical and an eyesore. A good one from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.

Unknown said...

Besides the Students affairs Director is a disciplinarian, a mentor in the medical profession.

Unilag should also keep some toilets open. If u come there on a week day or weekend, the toilets are locked and students have to pee in the bush. Also at night some times, they lecture without light or with phone torch .so they should work on dat.and do some renovation too. Before they ban anything

General Yakubu Gowon once said that Nigerian policies are often made to inflict pain on its own people.

Unknown said...

I am tempted to call u a goat for this statement or better yet, let me put the blame on your ignorance or paucity of information.
How many times have u seen medical students perform surgery in Nigeria especially one that involves the brain. U won't blame the stupid Nigerian system for her incessant strikes and misplaced priorities. You are here blaming medical students.
What is the relationship between the use of earpiece and the death of ur friend.

Anonymous said...

hian..eberechi!!...you that took your person to do brain surgery in LUTH..na wa for you oooooo!!...na you yourself really need the brain surgery...

To those of u in support of dz abuse of human right......I pardon you because it just shows how retarded y'all are. Firstly if you made good use of whateva s left of your brain den you'll v read that eearpiece was banned from college and luth premises.......there is no predilection 4 classrooms. Secondly earpiece z bin a major saving grace n d aspects of reading cz of its ability to block distractions. .... (not all of us r dumb enuf to b distracted by music). We also v audio lectures we listen to...which helps facilitate learning, but I guess y'all r backward in your thinking that u don't realize we r n d digital age (not blackboards n chalk)...... join d fight to help us get our right back or jus keep your delusional n retarded way of thinking to urself.

Anonymous said...

M sure your stagnant in whatever your doing now. This s evident by d stereotypic manner of your tots. You v d audacity to compare d future n d past. How's being a disciplinarian giv u the right to impose your personal prejudice on your subordinates jus bcz your n d position of power. ....use that shriveled mass of a brain u claim to v before commenting.

Unknown said...

Don't be light headed bro.. No one does that in CMUL as well. Its disrespectful and we know, but to prohibit from using it in the premises is far from a wise decision.

Unknown said...

We just made this Maryann whatever girl famous!
Is it not obvious shez not learned?????
How many times do consultants in Nigeria perform delicate surgeries let alone 'students' wikipedia defined student as 'A learner' hian! Tsew!

Its a Noble profession remember! I m not surprised at your line of thought. Medical training is an apprenticeship; you need all the senses cos it demands your optimum attention. BRAVO PROF!
