Supreme Court fires Taraba acting governor, reinstates impeached deputy

Former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Sanni Danladi, who was impeached by the state House of Assembly in October 2012 under questionable circumstances has been reinstated as the new governor of the state by the Supreme court of Nigeria. Alhaji Danladi served as the deputy governor of the state under Dambaba Suntai who is now very ill.

Delivering its judgement today, the Supreme Court led by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, ruled that the impeachment panel set up by the House of Assembly to investigate all the allegations leveled against Danladi did not give him fair hearing as he was not given any opportunity to speak for himself during any of the panels proceedings.

The panel also failed to honor a court injunction secured by the deputy governor challenging its composition.

The Supreme court held that there seemed to be conspiracy between both the Taraba State High Court and the impeachment panel. The court ruled that be immediately reinstated as Governor.

Congratulations Supreme Court and Alhaji Sanni Danladi. You have wrestled and defeated the wiles of the devil, principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this age and spiritual hosts of wickedness in high places. -Ephesians 6:11-12.

Now, questions? Will he paid his entitlements since the purported impeachment? Why the delay till now before getting justice? Is there anything wrong with our judicial system over delay of cases? What would have happened if his term has expired?
Cases like this should not take 6 months to reach final determination point. Judiciary please buckle & brace up.
Taraba over to you for the needful as there seem to be bad belle over this issue and now must be corrected openly.
God is watching everybody and will judge accordingly. May God forgive us all. Toks

The problem is not with the judiciary but with Nigerians. We have representatives in NASS yet none of them has ever deemed important the issue of judicial reform act to curtail the duration of cases in the court. The lawyers and judiciary only follow the law made by NASS a very corrupt entity saddled with the business of making law. The various state governments (APC, PDP) found it extremely difficult to appoint judges and magistrates for quick dispensation of justice.
