Is this the solution to would-be-offenders of one-way traffic in Lagos?

We all know about the very strict Lagos traffic laws and fines. Someone thinks this is probably the solution to prevent one-way driving in Lagos...instead of putting LASTMA officials on the roads who aren't trustworthy and also risking their lives.

Saves wasted man power hours and you are free to pass it as a road user if you have money for new set of tires. Lol. What do you guys think?

It wont work, Nigerians are unrepentant law breakers. They will put planks on the spikes and drive over or find the means to damage the spikes permanently.
Or touts will even station themselves there and facilitate easy passage for a fee!
Nigerians! I hail thee!

I think it is a serious move toward social engineering.Create conditions where crazy motorists have go accrue severe personal costs for disobeying the law; remove all human factor so that there is no one to be influenced, coerced, harrassed or bribed; and u might just see people over time forget that you could do any more than a one way. Cant harrass a set of spikes, cant beat em, cant shove em, too much time calling to find out who operates the spikes so that you can override it. Just do the right thing and save time and money. I love it.

@Anonymous, 1013pm sept 2: You be bushe sha. The spikes fold forward when you apply pressure in the right direction.

Such dumb idea my idea. One way road means there are actually vehicles plying d road correctly right? So what happens to those, do they get their tires spiked also? These spikes r mostly operated electronically in foreign lands and are there for reasons Just not for 1 way(s) as it seems.

Anonymous said...

Oh my!!! O ma se o; can't believe you just wrote that. Wow! My dear those going d right way pass but the spikes ruins the tires of those going the wrong direction. It's a one way spikes strip. Get it now?

Anonymous said...

Dull you, for people goin the correct way, it will close once d tyres touch d ramp. For odas, d spikes get dem. Do some research dumbass.

Anonymous said...

Anon 10.13pm,if you look closely you will see that your car can get out when you're coming from inside the car park but you cant go in through that route. Please think before you start saying its a dull idea.Simple solution to the problem.

A smart move.

Nice one . James john

It can work, all they need to do is modify it to suit Nigeria and they also need to consider some factors peculiar to Nigerians e.g extreme lawlessness. Didn't the seat belt rule work? It did now.

Anonymous said...

Dull yarns. . . Definitely not for one way, otherwise how correct way ppl go pass?

Anonymous said...

Ode oshi!!..last time I checked..not only Yorubas inhabit Lagos..Tribal warlord!!..if u don't like it get out of Lagos!!

Dan said...

You r so retarded its nauseating. Did u read d commentary/look at the picture or r u just talkin...out of ur ass. These r one way spikes and will ruin d tires of any car that drives in d wrong direction.

Anonymous said...

Ur jus an imbecile, how dare u bring yoruba into tis, tribalistic idiot!!!

kiki morena said...

It works in the States, dont see why Naija go dey different........ I hope other governors can borrow a leaf

Unknown said...

I don't think it will work, because either way you take, your tire will still be punctured

Anonymous said...

Ur entire generation and d unborn ones re d greatess oponu..oloshi person. God will punish u and those dat brought u to dis life. Aduntos!

Morlard said...

Teacher ! I hear you!! .. Do you really understand , what a one way is? Dude , spikes bursts tires both ways wheather on the right or wrong way!! Okpo... ..and BTW , wat I'm saying is people would still remove it ..

ebuka said...

just try it and alaba boys will invent tires that would blunt those nails.na today?

Unknown said...

Yes severe TIRE damage indeed!!! With oyinbo like this a lot more will be damaged.. But really the only way to get most Nigerian drivers in 9ja especially Las Gidi to obey traffic laws is something that shocking and drastic!!!

Anonymous said...

Molard dnt b silly, if u dnt know how d spikes work ask, go to google or beta stil ask a grown up (an exposed one tho) to explain

Anonymous said...

Because those three languages that you mention are the only language every body in lagos speaks.
