Samsung Announces Availability of Wireless Printing Solutions

IT Director, Samsung Electronics West Africa, Raja Ko; Product Manager, Printer/ Display Solutions, Samsung Electronics West Africa, Bennett Nwogu; and Managing Director, Channel IT Nigeria Limited, Haidar Said, at the launch
Samsung Electronics West Africa, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, the second largest vendor in global printing market, announced the availability of wireless printers, ML-2165W and ML-2160 series, the USB version in the Nigerian market.

The ML-2165W printer is a wireless model of the Samsung range of printers which enable users to access and print documents from a mobile device installed with Samsung’s MobilePrint applications. While conventional methods require a 10-step set up procedure on a wireless network, Samsung’s one touch wireless feature (WPS button on the device) enables users to be connected with the printer through an access point/router in just 2 minutes.

The WiFi Direct feature also makes it possible to connect WiFi Direct enabled mobile to the printer directly without any access point/router, leaving out complicated start-up processes and device.

The ML-2165W is suitable for cost conscious users to lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of printers. These devices allow cost-effective printing via Samsung’s Easy Eco Driver and Easy Print Manager, allowing users to closely monitor their printer usage. By effectively using the Easy Eco Driver, users can save up to 75% on paper usage and 50% on energy.

“As costs in almost every sector continuously increases and managing maintenance expenses becomes more vital in emerging markets, we – as one of the leading A4 laser printer manufacturers and an integrated solution provider – listened closely to the growing needs of users,” said Bennett Nwogu, Product Manager, Printing Solutions, Samsung Electronics West Africa. With an overall TCO efficient solution that offers worry-free experiences from set-up to actual printing, the ML-2160W series represents our goal of enriching the lives of our customers.”

The ML2160 USB printer version is also equipped with Samsung’s one-touch Print Screen button, allowing users to print the content of their screen quickly and easily. One simple press of a button prints the user’s screen as it appears on the PC monitor without wasting unnecessary paper, toner and electricity.

While holding a standard 150-A4 sheet capacity with 20ppm printing speed, the ML-2160W laser printer series is 22% smaller than conventional 150-A4 sheet laser printers. This compact design provides an efficient and elegant space saving solution for any environment. Additionally, the dust-free top cover significantly reduces cleaning and maintenance requirements, while protecting the quality of results.

Other world-class printers from Samsung Electronics include SCX-3200, ML-3310, ML-3710, CLX-3185, CLX-3185N, CLX-3185FN and CLX-3185FW among others.

Samsung printers are wireless-enabled with Samsung’s one-touch Wi-Fi and are backed with certified Wi-Fi Protected Setup to ensure the wireless connection is secured. The MFPs also incorporate Samsung’s Navigation Key Ring to further enhance the intuitive user experience. The user can navigate the printing options quickly and easily, reducing the amount of time it takes to gain familiarity with the device.

The reliability of the printers is assured with Samsung 24 month warranty. Samsung ML-2160W wireless printer and genuine toners are available in major retail stores nationwide.
