Do you think other west african countrys are not aware of all the problems going on in Nigeria and how GEJ is being nonchalant about it. This has nothing to do with whether Nigeria has helped other West African nations in the past or not. It has more to do with GEJ joining the race for AU president at the last minute when other W. African countries had already decided they will support benin republic's president instead. I read Ghana lead other west african nations in the opposition against GEJ. LOL

It is good the African leaders excluded Jonathan from the "stress" of being the AU Chairman. I believed Jonathan has more than enough problem to carter for at home. Boko Haram saga is still there, he doesn't need a lot of divided attentions with his clueless precedents.

You can't win all the time so this is no news Linda, dont be silly! (I know you wont post this cos it's not a popular opinion, but i don't care!)

Losers and cowards never win! Thank God umbrella nose did not win. Sit your black ass somewhere and learn how to manage your own country. Punk!

Boni Yayi is the president of Benin not Togo... Oh and yes Dlamini Zuma was not contending that position because she is NOT a head of state but to that held by Jean Ping of Gabon which she lost.Get your facts right.

Abeg, get ur facts right b4 posting. Yayi is from Benin republic, not Togo. Please. Linda even wrote it. Can't u see?

Come on people! A lot of underground politics goes on in the AU. the West African countries had already chosen Benin Republic and not Nigeria. President Goodluck made a mistake by choosing to come out at all! I WON'T SAY HE WAS DEFEATED AT ALL!

Just hope he isn't the vice chairman cos with his 'good luck' charm, the chairman will die and then he wld automatically become chairman. Then, the reign of clueluessness begins in the AU!

It isn't a matter of naija's "clout" but GEJ's cluelessness. Why will you give more responsibility to someone who has proven how incompetent he is as dep governor, governor ,vice president and now president. Not all africans are as clueless as nigerians that voted this guy in.

diamondacious said...

All the national interest/ foreign policy dat we served to them not forgettn 30,000kilo watts of electicity annually frm our kainji dam and the cotonou _ lagos road that was done dat we alsn funded! Nigeria is a Big fool jst as our president is the Head of the fools!

We have given dese african countries defence, schools, infrastructure for upliftment of dere govt and failed to uplift ours! It serves GEJ right! Sometyms I jst can't help bt tink military rule was d best in nigeria forget d disadvantages.

He wasn't even ashamed to go and contest.. Hisss

Anonymous said...

hehe ,?jonathan is a looser

Hypertech Events said...

How will he win, when the election was not conducted by PDP African INEC.Who dash monkey banana....

Dlapikin said...

Diamondacious maybe you need to educate yourself a bit more before spitting out nonsense. When Nigeria sponsors a cotonou-lagos road, what does that bring to Tchad or Zimbabwe or Morroco? Do you think that africa ends in ecowas? It's good to love your country but do not insult others... Millions of nigerians live in Ivory Coast, Benin, Togo, Cameroon etc.The first beneficiaries of such projects are Nigerians because you find more Nigerian imports on their markets than theirs in Nigeria. You find more of your population in their cities than them in yours. Such roads allow millions of nigerians goods to travel to the benefit of your economy.
It is even besides the point: Beyond the rational amount of criticism any politician may get, Yayi Boni is very popular and well respected amongst his peers. Many feel in francophone countries that GEJ is a Western puppet. To finish, I would really want to know to which african countries has nigeria offered Defense and/or schools? out of the 53 countries of the union, what do they represent?
Where does nigeria stands compared to Lybia# The biggest donor, or South africa, or morrocco when it comes to financing projects in other countries to have entitlements and not them?

Nigerians are freeking gullible and any anti-government news is taken as the truth ... GEJ is the chairman of ecowas and there is no way under heaven he would contest for the sit of AU (ecowas time to chair AU) that he would have lost.

In my opinion, GEJ's decision to run for AU chairmanship was ill-advised and so he was bound to fail

I am so happy he wasnt elected. When I first hear, I was like a man that cannot man his country wants to man a whole continent.
His head/luck is not mean for Africa.

The AU should have voted-in Goodluck Jonathan as their president, and give us the President of Benin Republic, Thomas Boni Yayi, as Nigeria's president!
That would have been a nice trade off to get rid of BADLUCK Jonathan!!!

palominose said...

Where in the world is election held that politics is not involved? In the past nigeria was able to get what she wants whether last minute or not.when Murtala Mohammed(God rest his soul),wanted d african rep.at d UN to be given to nigeria,he got it despite showing his intrest at the last minute.oh how d mighty have fallen! Giant of africa don become ant. So believe it or not ur clueless president was actually DEFEATED.
