A high court in Lagos has rendered the first marriage of star actress Stephanie Okereke to footballer Chikelue Iloanusi, null and void. The judge told the actress who had gone to court to divorce Chikelu, that the marriage never existed, so she can't seek a divorce, only an annulment. According to the judge, the marriage between Stephanie and Chikelue wasn't valid because at the time they got married, Chikelu was legally married to another woman in the US.
Stephanie and Chikelue had a secret registry wedding some years back but they broke up less than a year later. Now going from the court's judgement, Stephanie is not Chikelue's ex-wife, she was never legally married to him. So when she marries Linus Idahosa, it will be her first legal marriage.

It's simple to understand. Steph and Chikelu married without the court real process so they didn't get the court approval bcos the court told them they cant wed both since chikelu is still married to a US base woman but both steph n Chikelu ignore the court n went ahead with the wedding to save them from shame and letdown from people. So linus stephs recent man would have told steph to pls go and bring the divorce certificate of her previous marriage with chikelu. Steph who knew she couldn't get the divorce certificate bcos they wedded illegally in court would have made a move with Linus to the court to get the divorce bcos if she didn't Linus will be amazed as to why won't she go to the court to get the divorce lol, for her to make Linus comfortable she went and the court would have told her " what divorce or didn't we tell you the wedding can't take place in court bcos chikelu is still married in the US?
