Album of the year
M.I -M12

Review: I'm not sure, but maybe its the Album of the year.

Hotest Single of the Year
Ice Prince - Oleku

Review: Hot, hot, hot - hypnotic tune. I liked it first time I heard it on Youtube and I still like it. I instantly blogged it. Its BEST Naija music of 2009 to 2015. Its well produced and Ice Prince can sing.

Best New Act of the Year
Wizkid

Review: 100% agree.

@ Neduzi & Voice of Reason - I don't see a reason why the NEA should NOT be held in New York. There are many Nigerians that live in New York and many that come in from around the tri state area and beyond that love to be able to celebrate their culture right where they live and to see their own stars/celebrities shine in New York where if you can make it, you can make anywhere. So that can't fly to Nigeria on a whim to attend an award show should not have something too, abi? Your reasoning is a little selfish, abeg!

I love that NEA shines a positive light on Nigerians right here in the States where people love to jaw about our "scams" and general lack of integrity etc. This is a show that give us an opportunity to turn that negativity around.

They host the Latin Grammies in Los Angeles, they don't host it in Spain or any other spanish speaking country, I don't see Latinos/Latinas complaining. They celebrate themselves regardless of where the celebration occurs! Because in the long run, does it matter where as long as it is a positive thing being celebrated?

Naija! Go or bad, una go find complain!
