Oh wow! People need a re-orientation of dumping refuse in drainages, a lot of people do not know better! A good drainage system will drastically reduce the effects of such heavy downpours.

I sympathize with the bereaved and the victims but people should learn that gutters are not garbage dumps!!!! Yeah, government should do more to protects its indigens but neighbors should also checkmate themselves! The care free lifenstyle of our people is now costing lives!! The government should also provide accessible disposable areas for the masses!!! his is something that could be averted by good drainage nd good garbage disposal!!
i agree the government needs to do something but we also have to change our attitudes. I once saw some women at Ogunpa in Ibadan throwing dirts ,shafts of maize etc in the gutter while it was raining. I cldnt help but come down from the car to reprimand them but they shouted at me that it wasn't my business! We all need to complement the government.

Sad, simply sad. Hurricane came through the East Coast, a handful of deaths, rain falls in Ibadan, 100 people die.
