Chief Ladi Williams wins libel case against his brothers...court orders them to pay him N10m

Chief Ladi Rotimi Williams
The 4yr-old libel case Lagos lawyer, Chief Ladi Rotimi Williams (SAN) filed against his two blood brothers, Folarin and Tokunbo, has ended in a Lagos High Court. And Chief L.R. Williams won the case.

Justice G.M Onyeabo of the Lagos High Court gave judgement and an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants, their agents, privies, assigns, and successors from further publication, circulation and or use of a letter dated 7th July 2007, which chief Ladi Williams complained about.

A sum of N10m was also awarded as damages for libel and 'unjustifiably disparaging' Ladi's name and reputation. If you missed the previous post on this fight between four blood brothers, then read here

They can appeal so he should not rejoyce yet. I support his brothers because Arican senority does not exist in law.

Why would Ladi not since he knew senior advocates and he is one too?

I can't imagine suing my brothers or sisters. I hope they sort out their differences, peacefully.

He may have won the case, but he will soon realize that he truely lost b/c the war will continue to rage and he and his family will not have any peace. I wish him the best of luck collecting his money.
