Aretha Franklin has confirmed Halle Berry will play her in an upcoming biopic.
Franklin broke the news on the 'Wendy Williams Show' on Thursday, saying that after years of potential deals, the film about her illustrious life is finally getting made.
DEAD WRONG CHOICE! DEAD WRONG! There were talks of Jennifer Hudson playing her, why Halle Berry now? Is Aretha's vanity overcoming her good sense? What are they going to do, put her in a fat suit? Aretha was never really skinny, Halle cannot sing or play the piano! Okay, she can lipsynch, they can show someone else's hands playing the piano but what about the weight issue? This is ridiculous! This is why Ricky Gervais makes fun of Hollywood.

Halle said on the Golden Globe red carpet that she didn't think she could play Aretha because she does not know how to sing and then went on to say...If Aretha would sing then she (Halle) would do the Acting but I would hardly say this is a done deal. It may very well be Aretha wishing it to happen.
aretha franklin is not in her senses. halle berry looks nothing like her past or present. can't she find an african american actress, without mixed bood...i mean c'mon...she's thinking too higly of herself...fine she's s music legend..halle is an iconic beauty...how many people can look like halle berry?....
Jennifer Hudson is better of because Jennifer even almost looks and sounds like Aretha Franklin. if they use Halle they should be rest assured that the movie will flop
