Alright, let me explain further. You see, other days - Movie ticket: N1, 000. Popcorn - N500. Drink - N300. Weekends - Movie Ticket: N1, 500. Popcorn - N500. Drink - N300. It's the same freaking movie...why pay more? All I need to do is be patient...and I pay less.

@anon 10:59, surprise and skank...u guys don't seem to get it. this story isn't about any guy - can't u read btw the lines? it's about me and my movie schedule. this is what i say to my sisters, friends, acquaintances etc that i offer to take to the movies...bottom line - if u wanna go with me...these are the days I go...i used the guy as a muse...cos some of my friends jokingly call me cheap when i tell them what days we can go to the movie..:-)

well, in my own opinion, dat is cheap! why not oda days? i wld understand if u had said u can't afford oda days, not selecting cheap days to take ur friends out to the movies. Am sure dey are worth more dan dat? Except i did not get u right, dats outrightly cheap my dear.

Good on you, I have nothing against seeing a movie at the full price, if it really comes to it (like I really really really want to see that movie at that time), but most times I'm seeing a movie them when I get a free popcorn & a drink!
Something I notice about Nigerians is that they like "Keeping Up With The Joneses", and it's the people that don't even have money that like acting like they have it all....then go home and soak garri.

its perfectly normal and like you said its the same movie why pay more? cinemas are supposed to be cheap except they are doing some movie premier there if not then its supposed to be. its just expensive because of the lack of competition.
