There are reports promoter Sheila Okonji's KidzTrust has secured the exclusive rights to produce the most powerful international music phenomenon of the decade - High School Musical- in Nigeria.
High School Musical is an original production of DISNEY; with a Guinness Book of world records entry for having 9 concurrent no 1 hit singles from its soundtrack.
Sources say the Nigerian production will be executed by a full Nigerian cast and crew.
No details have been announced for now, but those close to the organisers say 'work is going on rapidly', and auditions to find Nigeria's Gabrielle and Troy may start 'soon'.

Oh no...i can see this is gonna be a goner. Are they trying to do a stage play or nollywood movie version of the musical? I don't get it o. I doubt if naija people are going to receive it well sha.

I don't support this abeg. Nigeria should do its own musical and if it flops, it won't go international unlike if HSM Naija flops...*hides face*

This Production is most definitely going to change the orientation of youth in Nigeria. I heard it is the stage production not a nollywood version ohhhhhhhhh... PEOPLE SUPPORT YOUR OWN FOR ONCE.....
