"Every single mother made a wrong choice" - Lola Alao

Popular Yoruba actress Lola Alao, who's also a single mother, made this statement in a just released interview with Vanguard. When asked why there are a lot of single mothers in the industry, Lola said;
"I think it has to do with making the wrong choice. I will say they haven’t gotten to their final destination that is why they are single mothers."
Asked if the statement also applies to her, Lola replied; "Yes, I think every single mother you see made a wrong choice."

Ms. Alao cannot generalize in her response that every single mother made a bad choice.Self-exoneration is not the appropriate answer if her intention is to help the situation and curb the trend.Sadly with the newest trend of posting everything on social media about your marriage, many more marriages will fail. There is more need to learn skills that will enable you to navigate the terrain of marriage rather than playing the victim.
It is only when women stop invading men's life by paying their own dowry out of desperation or
because they want to keep up with friends that are married. Marriage is not something you go shopping for.
Anyway, for these of you in bad marriages, I will recommend reading Gottman's 'The four horsemen of the apocalypse"

This woman is her own worst enemy and must be speaking ONLY for herself.

What about women who got married, had children within their marriages AND were forced to divorce their husbands AND then pushed into UN-planned single motherhood through no fault of their own?

What planet is she on? Poor thing, this Lola Alao sounds like your typical UN-educated ILL-iterate.

well, she is right. no lady sits down and says I want to get pregnant and the father would not be around.

The problem is not making a wrong choice but sustaining the choice you've made. These days, people don't know the meaning of sacrifice

It only applies to You biko. Some ladies chose to be single mothers and not aborting is not a wrong choice. Maybe sleeping with man without protection. Dont put your wrong choice on the children ohhh

I am sorry ma. I strongly disgrace with your statement. It might be a wrong decision for you, but for some mother's out there like mine; it is the best decision of her life... 29 years .... and she look back and say thank you Jesus I made this move.

Mostly correct. But like every theory, some exceptions exist. For example, women that are not interested in a committed relationship but want a child, either through a man or sperm donor.

Can't you see that the husband is the 'wrong choice' in the scenario you painted? Tshwwwww
