Dark skinned model recreates photos of famous white models (Photos)

Deddeh Howard, an LA based model, who was rejected by modelling agencies with the excuse that they already had enough dark skinned models has literally taken her career into her own hands.

Finding it hard to break into the industry, the Liberia born aspiring model teamed up with photographer, Raffael Dickreuter to recreate some of the biggest designer campaigns done by top models like Kedall Jenner, Candice Swanepoel, Gigi Hadid, among others.

The photo series which she tagged Black Mirror aims to draw attention to the need for diversity in the modelling industry. She observed that most of the models in the industry are white and the few black ones like Naomi Campbell and Iman were the exceptions.

Deddeh absolutely slayed in all the photos, making sure to recreate every single detail in each shoot.
