According to the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello on New Media, Petra Akinti Onyegbule, the accident involved an SUV and a commercial bus which was traveling from Lagos to Kano. Both vehicles were said to have been engulfed in flames burning 16 passengers to death. 3 of the dead passengers were in the SUV while 13 were occupants of the bus.

Okene - Lokoja road in bad shape.The state govt should rehabilitate the road for the safety of motorists. Dual carriageway the best option. Gov Yayah Bello do something.
