Photos: Train crashes with Vehicles on Ibadan - Abeokuta road, no casualties recorded
A train badly crashed with Vehicles today at Kila, Kilometer 3 on Ibadan - Abeokuta road today. A DAF truck, Toyota Camry, and a Train were involved in the accident. However, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), no casualties were recorded. More photos after the cut.

There are 2 train crossings on the said road. They lack crossbars, traffic lights and other warning systems to alert and prevent road users from attempting a crossing at the same time as an oncoming train. Also, a driver cannot see an oncoming train on both tracks, because it is obscured from view by foliage until it is within a few feet of the road. You are bound to suddenly find yourself on the tracks and in the path of an oncoming train, except you are a regular user of the road.
The Federal Government should be sued to court by the victims because this accident is the result of wilful neglect by an FG parastatal, the Nigerian Railway Corporation.
Hi Linda. It would have been better if either the survivor or FRSC tell us the full story and lesson to be learnt from this. We don't have to wait until something worse than this happen at that spot. Thanks.
Thank God no life was lost. However it would have been better if either the survivor or FRSC tell us what led to this and advise how to prevent a reoccurence.
I find it hard to believe that an incoming train doesn't horn. Some Nigerians are horrible,i stay close to a rail track, I hv seen people who despite the horn and the warninig,they still jump into the track to pass. Thank God for sparing their lives,i believe they were all smart enough to jump out from their vehicles.
