Don't Drop The Mic 1st Year Anniversary Happening Tomorrow

If you haven't heard about “Dont Drop The Mic”, then you must have been living in a cave for the past year.

Now considered the most creatively original show to emerge from Nigeria; Dont Drop The Mic has revolutionised the people's perception of hip hop music, with its infusion of games, comedy and improvisation. 

After hosting an audience of 600 people at Freedom Park for the Lagos Theater Festival, Dont Drop The Mic was also invited by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism to participate in the launch of the “One Lagos” brand, to draw foreign nationals to tourist attractions in Lagos State. 

This Saturday, on the 30^th of July 2016, Dont Drop The Mic is celebrating its “1st Year Anniversary” at the Nouveau Center in VI.

It is an event that you cannot afford to miss, and it is absolutely free.

Some of the upcoming highlights include a fictional character battle between Obasanjo and Fela, a Hip Hop version of the David and Goliath story, mind blowing performances, and unique audience games where you can win great prizes.

Dont Drop The Mic has become particularly well known for “improvisation”, which is when the performers create songs or acting scenes on the spot based on suggestions from the audience.

You never know what is going to happen, but thats what makes it such a great show!!!!

Dont Drop The Mic is an urban variety show where artists create songs off the cuff, freestyle rap, perform, battle and improvise on the spot.

The show is also open mic, so any artist can come, write their name, and perform their songs

either with the DJ or DDTM live band.

Unlike other open mic's the artist has only 30 seconds to impress the audience, otherwise he would get told to “drop the mic”.
