Beauty queen stabbed in the neck by boyfriend while having a bath

A 23 year old beauty queen and businesswoman, Macarena Ardit, was allegedely stabbed in the neck by her 27 year old boyfriend Mauricio Suligoy, while having a bath after she argued with him on the phone. Suligov has since been arrested by police on domestic violence charges.


Prosecutor Ruben Martinez said that the incident happened around 11pm in Sante Fe, New Mexico. He said after the argument, Suligov drove to her house to talk to her.Ardit said when Suligov got to the home, she opened the door to allow him in and the prosecutor said he then left the house a short while later.
When the friend went upstairs, she discover but never knew what had happened. When she didn't hear from her friend, she went upstairs and found d Macarena lying in a pool of her own blood.

Her friend called the ambulance and the police who started searching for him.

After she was stabbed at her home, she was rushed to hospital where medics managed to save her life after emergency surgery lasted several hours.

She is still in intensive care at the Reconquista hospital.

After the attack, Suligov went into hiding but was convinced by his father to turn himself in to the Police which he did 2 days after the incident.

Macarena had recently taken part as a contestant in the Queen of Surubi beauty contest in the city of Reconquista, in the north-east Argentine province of Santa Fe.
