Photos: Commercial flight makes first landing in Maiduguri Int'l airport after 2yr closure
The Maiduguri International Airport in Borno state which was re-opened on June 9th after being shut down for two years due to Boko Haram attacks, made its first commercial landing today June 13th. The Governor of the state, Kashim Shettima was onboard the flight. More photos after the cut...
That's Good, I Hope enough security is provided in and around the airport because there are still pockets of boko haram activities in that part of the country.
ok,but it would have been more informative if pictorial evidence of other areas of the airport was shown also,bcos I see all this things as just show off,i doubt if the airport has been put properly back to shape or properly secured.try and engage freelance photographers bcos that's the only way you can go to the next level with this ur blog reporting.

Exactly my thought! Almost every state in the North has international airport, those in the East have only one. The northerns do not travel out except they are going to mecca, but those in East are all over the world. How does this play out to be one Nigeria?
Better stay away from the airport until we know for sure boko haram has been eradicated...don't use users elves as scape goat o... D picture u see is one off o..and even if it isn't the governor won't fly commercial o...
