Photos: Thousands march in Cameroon to show support for troops fighting Boko Haram

Thousands of people took to the streets of Cameroon to march in support of troops fighting terror, extremist group, Boko-Haram. How noble of them. I think they're planning one in Nigeria. Another pic after the cut...

It is funny how in Nigeria, all we know how to do is criticize but we never appreciate! Cameroon has not being long in this fight, yet they stepped out to appreciate their troops! Yet we have being fighting BH for years and not once have we done a thing like this! Yet we will keep shouting "BringBackOurGirls", na winch wan bring them back?!!!

Unknown said...

A country were there is one mind....only this march will boost the moral of the troops.....can this happen in naija?

Anonymous said...

Can someone please tell me why this hasn't happened in Nigeria? Especially Northern Nigeria? Instead people are busy running the government and army down, sabotaging efforts to acquire arms and hoping that BH succeeds.

Nothing of this nature would be done in Nigeria. Instead everything would be politicized. No commendation is found in Nigeria. Ezekwesilli, Tinubu, Fashola and their ilk would instead hire foreign media to paint Nigeria in black. Posterity will judge all of us and our selfish actions.

gennyyy said...

Lovely!!! They are really brave, cos if it's organised in Nigeria, people might not show up in mass like this, cos out of the millions of pple marching, one fit dey carry bomb oo! And the next news headline go be "viewers discretion is advised" abeg they try.

APC and their supporters that always insult the military will not emulate this patriotic act, theirs is to say nonsense about the military that non of their family member is part of. May God help Nigerian army and all other Neighbouring country army that are fighting APC's Boko Haram. Buhari will soon have heart attack by the time the military flush out his Boko Haram boys.

These are things that happen and i wonder why i am a Nigerian. We are never united. Constantly throwing blames and we allow our politicians to do that to us. SHAME!

Planning one in Lagos? After how many Years? Hypocrite like you. APC will never get to presidency. Bokos was their strategy.

Unknown said...

That's great, it will boost troops morale.

Unknown said...

Well, they can do that because they don't have APC and Northern Elders Forum or Professor Ango Abdullahi in Cameroon and Niger republics. Any more doubt that Boko Haram is a truly Nigerian phenomenon?

GEJ did not respond immediately and in a firm manner like these countries. Rather be was busy saying I am not a lion nor an army general. Flying to France to discuss on BH, playing down their atrocities, harassing the leaders telling the public the army were ill equipped to fight the war. You people are so ignorant and full of crap.

Greetings folks, I just got this and thought to share:

...STUPIDITY is when you go to London to campaign for people without PVCs.

MUMU is when you go to London and fail to come back with your acclaimed Cambridge certificate.

MUGU is when you did not go to school and you forge a certificate and come online to say SaiBuhari.

FOOLISHNESS is when you have been shouting "up NEPA" since you were born but expects GEJ to become a magician within 4 years.

AKPOS is when you read day and night to get a certificate and still want a semi-illiterate to rule you.

419 is when Buhari said he borrowed N27million for presidential form but Buhari's wife donates drugs worth N135million to displaced persons in Yola....

Young Nigerians really disgust me! Are you guys educated or are you all under some spell? You all were here when the ruling party kept blaming northern elders, then APC until it got worse by the day.Our troops kept abandoning their barracks & weapons for the BH guys.Billions of naira voted in our budget for security yet we had no arms?We all read & heard about helicopters delivering supplies for them at night. We were told they were coming from across the borders so difficult to track. But we have seen how professional the Cameroonian svhave been. They posted battalions along their borders & hit BH hard each time they came near them.Fact is, their soldiers are not political! Not corrupt! Their people do not have a corrupt govt. They are happy. Are we? We don't have electricity still. The roads are still bad wages are still small.Life is hard in Nigeria! I would love to march for my soldiers but only when they show loyalty to our constitution & the PEOPLE & not to ONE man.

This is what responsible followership is all about. In Nigeria, we only know how to throw blames about and blame our leaders. A people will get the kind of leaders it deserves. Bad people will always get bad leaders. Simple.
The day the followers in Nigeria start to demonstrate responsibility, then our leaders also will start to demonstrate responsibility.

Anonymous said...

Lmao. I tire got this 'take note madam o!' Juliet Iwuno take note.

Anonymous said...

What was happeneing was that each time the military fought the Boko Haram terrorist, they would flee into Chad, Cameroun and neighbouring countries to recoup and come back into Nigeria again. So GEJ had to take time to go round all these neighbouring countries to solicit their support. At first, the neighbouring countries were nonchalant about this plea. They saw it as a "Nigerian problem". But when these countries now found that the terrorists had now begun to attack their own countries too, they decided to join forces with Nigeria. So when Nigerias' army attacks and they flee into the neighbouring countries, they are chased back again by the armies of neighbouring countries and become trapped. This is what we are now seeing as victory against these terrorists in recent times. But it took a lot of scheming and negotiations to get to this point. The Chibok girls that were captured were all taken to neighbouring countries and nobody there bat an eyelid at the time because it didn't concern them. But now these countries are wiser and have seen that what goes round eventually will come around.
