We are placed in the tropics which is just 4 degrees below d equator hence we feel the sun more than the temperate region and God in his wisdom gave us more melanin to fight off the ultraviolet rays and it's harmful effect hence our dark skin but in our quest for vanity we are eroding our melanin. Skin whitening is dangerous. No amount of sunscreen can compensate for our melanin. Caucasians don't have as much melanin as we blacks hence they stay hours in the sun tanning just to have a little more melanin yet here we are destroying our gift in the name of beauty. Please let's be wise.
