i am loving the fact that BlackBerry Classic has been teased and
leaked numerous times before and the veil
surrounding the future of BlackBerry has
been finally lifted. The manufacturer is
returning to its roots bringing back the
classic QWERTY keyboard, the iconic square
trackpad and the traditional hardware
controls...I also love the way they keep us updated with several new features . The camera qualities are also very functional.the security firewall has never been broken. rather its stronger. chioma ucho

The true remains that everyone needs a phone but when it comes to wireless communication, nothing beats the simple utility of RIM’s BlackBerry smartphone. BlackBerry has always been a gold standard for e-mail. I like the fact that I can navigate fast between core apps like Twitter, BBM and e-mail. another thing I really love about blackberry is the indicator light. The indicator light allows me to know when a message comes in without even checking. another thing is the physical keyboard, it allows me to type without errors. As a student of journalism, a freelancer and also an entrepreneur. i would love to have this blackberry passport for the following reasons:

1. The 13 megapixel auto-focus camera would give me a wonderful and clear pictures to Send to my customers about my goods. and also to my publishers.

2. the 3450mAH integrated non-removable battery is also an indication that I can do a lot of things like typing my assignment, writing a story for publication and also communicating with my clients without worrying about my battery going flat.

3. the 32GB internal space will allow me to save up so many important things without worrying about space.

BlackBerry Passport's screen size will make it ideal for looking at everything from schematics to x-rays, word documents and spreadsheets. Of course it's also going to make the handset ideal for web-browsing

The Passport will run the BB 10.3 operating system. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM, specifications which are comparable to phablets in Samsung's Galaxy Note range.

Internal memory is shaping up to be 32GB with space to expand this with a micro SD card slot (up to 64GB).

Battery life

The Passport packs a large 3450mAh battery life, and BlackBerry is touting a battery life of around 30 hours for power users that browse the web, take calls and access multimedia content using the device.

Whilst testing out a pre-production device, blackberrypassport handset retained 15 per cent battery life after 16 hours of usage.

Early impressions

So far the blackberry passport has been the only publication to get extended time with the Passport. Although it looks like it could take users a while to get used to the unique design and keyboard, conclusions have been positive.

“It fits in dress shirt pockets and you can hold it with one hand. You just need two hands to use it. The battery lasts forever and the screen is a breath of fresh air for the 'cramped' Q10 users,” CrackBerry noted.

“The phone (if we can call it that) is meant for executives and serious businessmen who will now do more on their BlackBerry smartphones.”

With BlackBerry managing to retain customers in the enterprise market, the release of a truly big screen device is likely to be welcomed by those who still crave a physical keyboard.

Apps

Blackberry Passport 10.3 users will have access to software offered by the Amazon App Store, to broaden the range of services at their fingertips.

this means users should have access to "hundreds of thousands" of additional apps, including consumer offerings such as Minecraft, Pinterest and Cut The Rope 2.

Meanwhile, they'll also be given the chance to download one free, and upload article in cloud

The blackberry remains the most popular and widely used smart phone. A blackberry is similar to a mobile phone device, however has increased functionality to allow email, calendar updates, documents and other data straight to the user over the internet and the mobile phone network, to be sent and received while on the move.
It can survive drops at least from waist high.
Files and contacts can be backed up and can be restored on any new blackberry purchased.
It is cost effective as opposed android phones where data plan subscriptions are on the high side.
It has effective management of data plan
Media and application wise, it's on point.
Summarily, functionality and aesthetics wise, blackberry will always be my favourite. These are some of the reasons why I'll always prefer blackberry to other phones.

Asking me to write what i love about blackberry is like asking an infant what he/she loves about breastmilk. It is not a question of what i love about BB but rather what i dont love about bb. Is it the crisp quality images from its camera which stands tall among its contemporaries? The sleek, simple yet compact designs we are often given, or is it the ease with which one can multitask, seamlessly switching from one app to the other? One cannot help but mention its amazing instant messaging(bbm) that keeps you in contact with your peeps, business and allwhatnot and the continued direct access to e-mails. To cap it all,the yet-to-rival data packages that gives you unparalleled access to all these features and the internet. It is not a question of "what do i love about BB?" but rather It is "what is there not to love about BB?". emekaudokwu@gmail.com

The most important thing for me when it comes to using a smartphone is communication and that is where I strongly believe you can't beat the BlackBerry. Knocking out an email, tweet or Facebook message on the BlackBerry takes seconds and I haven't found another OS that can offer me that ease of use and simplistic management. From using a BlackBerry as a business tool I am forever getting compliments from customers that cannot believe how quickly I respond to email queries. Besides its subscription is cheap due to its data compression.

More efficient internet structure: BB provides access to an unlimited internet data plan and at the least it provides more internet data at a lower cost than any other phone brand.BB pioneered this structure

More efficient mail structure: BB provides the most robust and easy to use email structure, due to competiton bw google and yahoo, Yahoo mail is sometimes inefficient on andrioid phones. Also other phone brands require more settings for uncOmmon emails unlike BB. BB pioneered easy access to emails.

Most dynamic chat system. BBM redefined chatting on phone and created the platform for whatsapp to enter. At a point people were so used to BBM dat it became a phenomenon, people cud literally be sleeping and chattin on BBM. BBM pioneered so much chat innovations like; no login required, sending of pix n voice, etc

Now some of the inefficiencies of BB had been battery life and slow system processors. This has however been addressed with the Z10 and Q10.

So the BB can be an only phone and you won't be missing out on anytin. But if you make an android or iphone an only phone u wud be missing out on the BBM as well as a very efficient and timely email structure.

In Nigeria where internet is a
luxury, the joy of using a Blackberry phone where I have to spend only N1000 on unlimited data monthly can never be overemphasised.
Have I mentioned its responsive keyboard? its solid rock operating system? The doc app which I used in typing my project. I can shop online with it, I can use Facebook, Twitter and Google Talk seamlessly. Call me old skool, my Blackberry may not have millions of apps on it but It has the relevant ones, I may not have an Instagram application but my camera is still badass, people may not line up for it at the stores but given the choice between the popular and the bespoke, I will always go for the latter.
What matters most is, my Blackberry does what I need it to do effectively and for its affordable cost, I'd be a fool to complain.
Most importantly, the tiny red light indicator never fails to remind me my family and friends are only a PING away. Laugh all you want, this comment was written and posted via Blackberry

Over the years, BlackBerry smartphones have
had two major advantages. They used a special
server technology that sat between the phone
and email systems to provide better
performance. Because of the way they worked,
they also offered a higher level of security than
other systems. In fact, the first smartphone
carried by a U.S. president was President
Obama's BlackBerry. With the release of the
BlackBerry 10 operating system, BlackBerry
phones have many unique characteristics. And their unique Data subscription which is cheaper and affordable for their consumers and last longer than android phones

The beautiful and exceptional facilities I enjoy on my first blackberry bold 4(9780) phone including simplicity of operations, durability, unique pattern and packages enjoyed from its subscriptions has made it difficult for me to use any other phone product after it got lost. Albeit, I bought another one, but then, I have never been comfortable nor feel so excited with its packages and facilities like I enjoyed from my former blackberry phone; an experience which has made me conclude that my next plan definitely would be to gather strength for another blackberry phone product.

Blackberry is one of the most secured mobile phones as every phone has a unique bb pin which can't be changed. This makes it easier to be traced if stolen. BlackBerry doesn't have so much junk wares like android phones so to some extent, you can save some power and mobile data. I also prefer the sync for blackberry, it's easier to forward meetings and has better calendar management. ☺

Blackberry phones are unbeatable when it comes to security. The led-light indicator is a very unique thing about blackberry phones which makes you know whether your battery is low,new message,blue-tooth on and the likes. The picture quality is superb. Most Blackberries have keyboards, so you can actually type fast and with no errors. Helps while driving, walking, carrying something in your other hand. Blackberry is not so expensive and it is available everywhere in the world. It has a MicroUSB connector for synchronization/charging. Blackberry is so diverse and creative combining all the blackberry models produced. Blackberry has expandable memory and the battery is removable. Blackberry also allows programs to multitask and it allows communicating peer-to-peer via PIN identifier, using the email system. All major instant messengers are available on Blackberry including the most interesting of them all...BBM which was produced by this same blackberry. Blackberry is available with multiple browsers and it synchronizes with iTunes and every other media management program. Subscription is way cheaper compared to other phones. Over the years, BlackBerry smartphones have
had two major advantages. They used a special
server technology that sat between the phone

performance. Because of the way they worked,
they also offered a higher level of security than
other systems. In fact, the first smartphone
carried by a U.S. president was President
Obama's BlackBerry. With the release of the
BlackBerry 10 operating system, BlackBerry
phones have many unique characteristics. And their unique Data subscription which is cheaper and affordable for their consumers and last longer than android phones

Waiting in Lagos’ crowded domestic airport lounge on route to Abuja, the characteristic ping of the BlackBerry alert sounded out every few minutes with people reaching out into their pockets to check their phones. A smartly dressed Nigerian lady seated beside me was engrossed in a text conversation on her BlackBerry as she smiled silently to herself. As I finally took my seat on the flight, I was joined by a portly Nigerian man with a large briefcase tucked beneath this seat engaging in a loud and animated conversation on one of the phones tucked between his ear and shoulder, whilst he texted on his second phone effortlessly, both BlackBerry devices. I also noted that the airline crew didn’t bother to request the passengers to turn off their phones before departure, a sign that for many Nigerians, their phones are considered to be an extension of themselves that cannot be disengaged.

As a Blackberry user myself, I was happy to see so many fellow “crackberrys” in Nigeria, but in recent times, I had been feeling the impulse to upgrade my phone and join the PA (Post Apple) era. When I bought my first BlackBerry, a Bold 9900, I felt I’d joined an exclusive club of jet setting executives, ready to take over the world with every BBM. I winced in pain every time I droppe
d it, mortified that my precious berry baby may have been damaged. Three years later, my love affair is waning and I’m tempted to drop it under a bus just so that I can have a legitimate excuse to relegate it to a spare tire and buy that much desired iPhone and start instagraming, but thanks to blackberry with the introduction of blackberry 10,I can now join my Instagram peeps

1 -- So then, the BlackBerry Passport with a large square 4.5-inch screen. 2 -- It's like riding a bike. If you have been training yourself on Android and Windows Phone like me but you USED to use BlackBerry, it's not hard to pick it back up. The BlackBerry HUB introduced in the last OS upgrade is still there and, in general, the access route to applications and settings is faster than on other devices. 3 -- The option to install and run Android applications via SNAP is good and the battery life is second to none. I think you could go away for the weekend without charging it -- but you would probably want to restrict yourself to email only. 4 -- BlackBerry spoke to the Computer Weekly Developer Network blog to detail what has happened with what it calls "a major OS update" which brings together a refreshed visual design along with dozens of new features. 5 -- BlackBerry has BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) division at the backend doing what it does and gaining more respect by the day.

The Blackberry is still the best invention of phones, it has surpassed just making calls with your fone and that's why BB users have become so addicted to their phones, talk about reaching family and friends via your BBM, a special feature of the BB. The different models of the BB also gives users ddifferent beautiful options. For me, blackberry is still d best.
