Creating more state isn't an issue in Nigeria. The CORRUPTION THINGS is what we need the Conference Delegate to iron out. There should be PENALTY for every corruption in Nigeria.

It's the right thing to do,more states should be added,am from cross river state and just in my local government of ogoja we have about 10 different languages there,cross river state is so large they should be about 100 different languages in the state if not over.the only well developed place in cross river is it's capital calabar,it's takes you 5hours from calabar to ogoja.thats like from Lagos to Benin,ogun,Ibadan.adding more states will give each state to develop better,allocations will be made directly to the states.most people are against it because of the kind of political leaders we have.think about development and not the leaders

I don't agree with chidi, Nigeria is corrupt with or without the creation of the states. I believe creation of the states will help in development. Even with d allocation the govt gets, they do close to nothing with it but with this creation of states , they wil ve impact in their immediate environment which are the states created. Creating more states in Nigeria would not bring any change in terms of development as some people would be made to believe. I'm from one of the smallest LGAs in Nigeria with just two villages and you would think by now the streets would be lined in gold; however, it is still the same old story of squandering and corruption with drop outs taking over the affairs of the community. All we need is strong commitment to tackle corruption and heavy penalty for all corrupt persons. That is the only way forward.

I took my time to read all the comments, but my only conclusion is that we have so many Educated Illiterates and this is what is making our great country missing the real government, Take for an Example the Awareness of the Ebola, Even the total illiterates are more knowledgeable and aware of the Deadly virus, Please i beg everyone out there can we create a great awareness of what we want in this country, but not what they want.
