Watch Seun Kuti's very conscious music video: IMF ft. M1

Is this Seun Kuti's first music video? I don't think I've seen any before now. IMF is from Seun's new album - A long way to the Beginning, featuring M1 from Dead Prez. Enjoy...

This guy is a joke, he doesn't know how to sing, if not because of Great Fela old band playing for him,he will be playing backup sax for his half brother Femi Kuti. He should stop singing rubbish and focus on his saxophone who he really good at.

Lol really creative and bold music. If other artists can sing about relevant stuff instead of the normal cars and women

Why should music videos be dark and show devilish things?

Anonymous said...

This song was generally successful..most young listeners think it failed because they are only used to modern day music. Good one seun jare.

This music was good enough to make me comment on this blogspot-you really have to understand music to love this-it's not "child's play" 120% rating...

Lovely song, lovely video, powerful lyrics and powerful video too. We need more of this type of musicians in Africa. Good job Seun Kuti I'm sure your late father is more than proud of you. Keep the truth and those with ears listen.

Intaya 4 una sef. I don't understand y y'all just comment without thinking sometimes. Anyways, @ the song I think we r now way passed IMF walks in 9j. International development support has taken different fronts and shapes now. The question is whether Nigeria should keep receiving aid from the west. Personally, I think we r better off without it cos @the end of the day, there's always more in it for them than us. For every $ given in aid it Nigeria, there's a $ stollen by our leaders and a dollar made for the donors. No country has yet to give us more than we can honestly afford ourselves. I like the song - it promotes conscientious thinking. Perhaps it is time to look inwards as a nation and begin to 'do' for ourselves instead of accepting aid left, right and centre. But then again, 9ja talk de taya sef.

A Nigerian sings about all the evil deeds of IMF/World Bank in Nigeria and Africa...see what Nigerians are commenting here...these set of Nigerians commenting on here are highly uneducated and ignorant! Quite sad.

I love the conscious message behind this song. The IMF & world bank & those other criminal associations are robbing Africa & the rest of the world dry & we just keep forming mumus offering ourselves to them to rape us.
