Private jet owners barred from govt terminal

Barely three months after unveiling a new policy for general aviation, which barred private jet owners from carrying their friends and associates, the Federal Government has stopped private jet owners and chartered jet operators from using the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos for foreign travels.

The order, which has taken effect, was conveyed through a memo from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to the heads of all the security agencies operating at the MMIA.

Airport sources said some private jet owners and chartered jet operators had stopped travelling through the international wing of the MMIA.

As a result, private jet owners and chartered jet passengers travelling out and coming into the country will not go through the required security screening, including that of the Immigration, Customs, narcotics control and the State Security Service at the MMIA. (Read the rest on  Punch)

There's a deliberate attempt to cut down the the number of PJ's in the country.
There's always an option, private owned terminals will pop up soon.
Houses with aircraft spaces in the backyards won't be surprising either.

What y'all dont know is they never even check pj owners in the 1st place. I have gone on a pj once and they did not search me or the pj owner. I dont know about internationally buh you cant carry drugs cos you ll be checked properly once u land in another mans country. Plus i know for sure that if you are travelling out of the country with a governor on business or 1st class, the aides take everybodyz passport and its stamped without them seeing you. So its something dey already started a longtym ago. So dont waste yur energy saying government this, government that! Your country has been corrupt for a longtym

Yup like john travolta's house

On d contrary, things've now been made more strenous for d pj owners. They now have to go thru security checks which hitherto wasn't d case

My worry na pastors ans revs wey dey aquire private jets.sheybe na them preach say make congregation no follow things of the world?why na them come embrace am pass?To maintain jets cost millions,But how many of them don maintain their poor members?instead na members of church go donates for the poor.pastors go say make we buy annointing oil 10k,handkerchief 5k,sow seed20k,tithes %10,offering etc.yet things never change for good.abegi.

should dis be the major national issue? While students are all siting döwn at home.

Anonymous said...

Progress Nigerian style - anything to support perpetrators and evil doers. Very soon oyibo man will have to provide an equal reaction by denying all private jets landing rights abroad. I dey siddon watch from over hia.

Or perhaps they are prepping for elections and its time to start importing military grade weapons. Still,. I siddon hia dey look. Thank god I get secondary abode called Gods own country.
